"...touch'd with humane gentleness and love..."
The Merchant Of Venice, Act IV, Scene 1, Line 25.
Hanging' with Mr. Shakespeare. Ask us anything.
Get this: Will writes an Italian throw down for swords, and he thinks he's gangsta...
"This country was founded by Christians!"
The age-old right-wing meme used to justify dickbag behavior in the name of God.
I would love to point out to them that it was Plymouth Colony that was founded by Christians, not the whole damn country. And the Puritans thought so little good about Christmas that they actually banned the celebration in 1644! So, there's that.
I would also love to tell the "We-are-a-Christian-nation" types that the Jamestown colony, which predates Plymouth by a decade and a half, was founded by greedy fortune-hunters who were unable to do a lick of work for themselves, so they hired, and later enslaved, people to do the work for them. These are the true ancestors of our money-crazed, incompetent corporate masters.
Da-Who Dorays, Fa-Who Forays, Welcome Christmas, Come this way!
Da-Who Dorays, Fa-Who Forays, Welcome Christmas, Christmas Day!
Welcome Christmas, Fa-Who Ra-mus, Welcome Christmas, Da-Who Da-mus
Christmas Day is in our grasp, so long as we have hands to clasp...

"Either thou art most ignorant by age, or thou wert born a
fool."
The Winter's Tale, Act II, Scene 1, Lines 173-174.
How cow! I nearly did it AGAIN! Jumped into a hot-mess medical discussion in GD!
Whew! Dodged a bullet there. I should know better!
The howling hyenas are at it again:

I was going to point out that naturopathic medicine is a science. It's evidence-based medicine, just like clinical medicine. Naturopathic medicine is things like nutrition, exercise, massage, natural, non-pharmaceutical remedies, etc. All of which I have a great deal of respect for.
What they seem to be referring to is homeopathic medicine, which isn't science; it's things like aromatherapy, magnets, candles, scented oils, etc.
But I finally got smart. I'm staying away from their brainless shit-spewing. Life is too short...

"Here is a silly-stately style indeed!"
Henry VI, Part I, Act 4, Scene 7, Line 72.
Happy Hour with Will Shakespeare. Ask us anything.
Long day in clinic. Thank God for the liquid happiness created by the fermentation of sugars...
An aspect of the "Miracle On Ice" that I'd never thought of before:
Even though I still tear up a bit at the memory of it, now I wonder what the players thought of all the 'miracle' talk. There was nothing really miraculous about it. They were talented athletes who just, simply played their hearts out.
