Any night-owls up?

I've got a case of insomnia; the first for quite a while.

I'm starting to feel sleepy, finally. Maybe I'll go to bed soon...

Check in if you're still awake...

Happy Friday! How are my Lounge peeps tonight?

Hope everyone is staying tuned for tomorrow's 'William Shakespeare's Thought For The Day."

I love you all...

I re-watched the pilot episode of "Sports Night" yesterday.

It was interesting to see Casey McCall (played by Peter Krause) lose his interest in sports because of the number of criminal incidents committed by "punks and thugs", who are then allowed to go on and continue to play the game.

It was a timely reminder of the awful things wealthy athletes get away with because punishing them would cost the league money and prestige.

(BTW, Casey's dedication to sports was re-kindled in the final moments of the episode by watching a world running record being broken by a South African distance runner who had previously had his legs broken while being tortured by the apartheid regime. Can we please have a hero who behaves with honor and nobility, and restores our faith in humanity?)

I unexpectedly got stuck having to get four of my grandkids ready for bed.

Their father is in Colorado looking for a job. Their mother is in San Diego at a family wedding. And Mrs. Aristus is too sick to do it.

I felt like the Secretary of Commerce suddenly finding out he's President of the United States after the Capitol building gets cratered during the State of the Union.

Question for fans of 'Casino Royale' (2006).

There were seemingly so many double and triple-crosses in the film that I kind of lost track after a while. Help me out here:

Bond managed to suss out on his own that Mathis double-crossed him. But how?

Vesper mentioned after her meal with Bond that she needed to see Mathis, and left Bond at the table. How did he figure out that Mathis was crooked?

My community health care company has boosted the number of daily patient visits again.

We have gone from a reasonable 18 per day, to 22-26!

As of lunchtime today, I'm on track to see 22. And that's not factoring in the 3-4 Johnny-Come-Latelies who usually drift in to the clinic without an appointment around 4 on a Friday afternoon, somehow thinking it won't be crowded or anything.

If you're ever tempted (at your next clinic visit) to be upset at the duration of your wait to see the provider, it ain't no picnic for us, either. And unlike the absurd delusions I've seen people post in GD, we're not getting mansions and yachts out of the deal...

I will be hanging with Will Shakespeare for dinner, drinks, and the Seahawks game.

Anybody want to join us?

Happy Hour begins in roughly 90 minutes.

We will also be hashing out this week's edition of WSTFTD.

Hope to see you all there...
