George H. W. Bush was Commander-In-Chief when I was in the Gulf in 1991.

I had voted for him three years before, so I didn't have a problem with that.

The best I'll say for him is that at least he had the good sense not to invade Baghdad, and to leave Saddam Hussein where he was. He knew what an endless bloodbath invading and occupying would be. Too bad he couldn't convince his colossal fuck-up of a son of that.

Anyone who thinks Iraq wasn't sufficiently punished for invading Kuwait never saw the 'Highway Of Death'.

7. President of the United States.
8. Elder statesman.
9. Still went skydiving in his eighties.


How is it possible this guy needed his colossal fuck-up of a son to stick up for him?

I have a patient on my schedule today who is a heavy smoker. Complaint: "Lungs are hurting."

Sometimes, there aren't enough faces or palms to do the facepalm a situation truly deserves.

I sometimes wonder why smokers come to me for medical advice. They never follow it.

"Quit smoking".

Nope...

Anybody know this TV movie from the 70's?

It was about a woman who is a serial murder (she may be a black widow, marrying and then killing men for their money), who kills her prey in sometimes bizarre ways.

For example, one of her victims is trapped in a sealed up bathroom with the faucets (that the murderer sabotaged) running continuously until he drowns.

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Shit. My new clinic manager is a gun-nut and just found out I'm ex-military.

"Hey! You must really be in to guns, huh?"



Had to set him straight on that score. I got the whole gun craziness out of my system in the Army. I don't own guns, I don't like guns, and we need much stronger gun control in this country.

Then, just as sort of a conspiratorial aside, I told him I had been a tank crewman. Once you've shot a tank cannon, nothing else satisfies.

He bugged out pretty quick once he discovered he's not getting a new gun-buddy...
