(Of course, I notice they took that RomneyGuns.com web-site is down, but the damage was done.)
I really think this ad single-handedly cost Rmoney South Carolina in the primaries, and really hurt him in the South in general.
Newt is the main reason Virginia and North Carolina are even in play right now, due to serious lack of Republican enthusiasm down there thanks to Newt really slinging the mud.
If Santorum hadn't been such an arrogant P.O.S. and stuck in the race so long to split the conservative vote, I have no doubt Newt would have been the nominee.
Despite Newt's (many) faults, he would have been a much more formidable foe at this point in the race, I think. Without the "rich boy" handicap that is making it hard for Mittens to connect with the middle-class, and a much clearer choice for gun-owners in the general election as well.
If Obama Wins North Carolina and Virginia, He Should Call Up and Thank Newt

HAHAHA! Poor fundies are freaking out over this minor change.
The only thing that has changed here is the paying of lip service to deity. It gets old seeing politicians hide behind the G-word just to try to add "appeal to authority" (a logical fallacy) to their arguments.
(In contrast, "God-given" appears multiple times in the 2012 Republican Party Platform.)
Exclusive: Democrats Drop 'God' From Party Platform
Guess what? Gods name has been removed from the Democratic National Committee platform.
This is the paragraph that was in the 2008 platform:
We need a government that stands up for the hopes, values, and interests of working people, and gives everyone willing to work hard the chance to make the most of their God-given potential.
Now the words God-given have been removed. The paragraph has been restructured to say this:
We gather to reclaim the basic bargain that built the largest middle class and the most prosperous nation on Earth the simple principle that in America, hard work should pay off, responsibility should be rewarded, and each one of us should be able to go as far as our talent and drive take us.
