Anyone notice that when Ukrainians crowd gun stores to buy AR-10s and AR-15s, the media

describes their purchases as "assault rifles", NOT "deer rifles" or "hunting rifles"?

The parallels are striking. Putin "created" Ukrainian "threats" to Russia and is willing to

destroy both nations in response.

Trump "created" a "rigged and stolen election" and is willing to destroy our nation in response.

Is it any wonder these two are a mutual admiration society?

Both need to go.

As I listen to the opinions being voiced about "how far Putin will go", I am struck by

how many times those who expressed fear of a massacre,---a slaughter, an extermination, a genocide---were quieted by the assurance that "they just wouldn't DO that!"

Those who are convinced that reason will always triumph over whatever monsters arise should review photos of Hitler's ovens and Pol Pot's "killing fields".

One does not negotiate with monsters. One does not forgive them or give them quarter.

Monsters must be destroyed.

Putin puts me in mind of an abusive husband standing outside his ex's home screaming

"If I can't have you, NO ONE WILL!" as he pounds on the door.

Whether prayers or good vibes or waves of positive energy or simply our kind good wishes for

In the past several days, I have read and heard about polls taken in Russia. These polls, we are

told, show that the Russian people overwhelmingly support Putin's leadership and that a majority favor going to war "to keep Ukraine from joining NATO."

"Polls"?

"Taken in Russia"?

Do we really believe this is anything but propaganda?

Aside from the fact that Putin nearly totally controls the media and most have no idea what is really happening and what is at risk, do we not realize that people who DARE to have opinions not 100% in support of whatever Vlad decides often "disappear". An alarming number of "unpatriotic complainers" seem to jump out of high windows and splatter on the sidewalk.

IMHO, there is no such thing as an "accurate" or "legitimate" Russian poll.

Vlad's intimidation---or liquidation---of his critics and his iron control of what Russian media can report about him are just a couple of the reasons that Trump so envied him.
