"disappointing"; it is not just "unfortunate"; it is not even just "highly partisan".
It is an all-caps "FUCK YOU!" to our party and the majority of the citizens of our nation.
It is possible that he was named to be refused by Speaker Pelosi as "proof" of the "highly partisan nature" of the commission, i.e. something else to whine about and hand out as GOP talking points. Madame Speaker, the insurrectionist party does not NEED a reason to hurl vicious lies at us. Don't give a thought to "what they wii say". Refuse this smarmy clown as soon as he is officially named.
(As an example of why you should be thankful that we have Speaker Nancy at bat for us, a "Speaker Atticus" would preface his swift refusal of Jordan with the on the record comment: "This is a joke, right?" )
I'm just asking a question, you understand, but is it true that, given the widely publicized
"shortcomings" and lewd peccadillos (Is that a nasty word? Sounds sorta skeevy---) of Trump and O'Reilly, is their upcoming tour being billed as the "Shroom-A-Loofa"?
I have no idea if that is true. I'm just asking, okay?

I know I've said this before, but I need the reminder; maybe others do, too.
No one who still voluntarily associates themselves with Trump or his cult deserves ANY respect, PERIOD, FULL STOP.
We should not pretend that they can be trusted.
We should not pretend that they will eventually "see reason".
Until they are placed in danger of lengthy prison terms---or worse and more immediate threats---they will not renounce Dear Leader---and some not even then.
It is too easy to slide into considering them "just people with whom we disagree". They are people whose expressed intent is our destruction. We should treat them accordingly.
So, thousands from across the globe congregate in the Olympic Village in Tokyo
during a surging coronavirus pandemic. Vaccinations are "encouraged", but not required.
