To those who have voted for whoever had an "R" behind their name all their lives:
the jig is up. The curtain was pulled back in 2016 and your party's whacko fringe has been saying the quiet part out loud ever since.
Sure, ever since you were a pup you knew that a lot of people who put x's in the same boxes you did were racists and religious extremists and all-round kooks. But, BACK THEN, they kept quiet about wanting to shoot minorities for sport, hang Jews from lamp posts and rape women in order to "spread the white seed". NEWS FLASH: today, they not only say those things, they brag about it!
For decades, you considered keeping quiet about the sizable sociopath wing of your party as the price you happily paid for their votes, their cash and, now and then, their willingness to "go medieval" on the liberals who pissed you off. Well, the price just skyrocketed.
Today, you can no longer be a quiet Republican; a buttoned down law-abiding red, white and blue patriot proud to live in the greatest democracy ever. You now---if you do not want to scorned as a "RINO"--- have to wear those red MAGA caps and those "Fuck Your Feelings!" tee shirts as you attend what used to be called "Klan rallies", make regular contributions to Trump or whatever dictator wannabe replaces him and enthusiastically cheer WHATEVER half-baked lie you are told to support and spread.
The jig IS up. The time has come when you must either renounce the crime syndicate your party has been for decades or stand naked before the world; no longer concealed by the silence of the thugs you always knew were there in the shadows

Many years ago at a local street fair, Mrs. A and I happily announced to some business acquaintances
that we would be parents in several months.
One of the women---who I already disliked---loudly corrected me: "That's a BABY in her womb! You're ALREADY PARENTS!"
Somehow, we managed to just walk away without loudly demanding "Just how goddam stupid ARE you people?"
That was then. In a similar situation today, I would ask the question. Willful ignorance needs to be named and chastised.
Arrogance, thy name is Alito! And, that is why he is the perfect Republican.
No mere mortal, this guy.
He is smarter, more moral and assured of a special place in Paradise when he eventually goes the way of all flesh. He was obviously placed here for the special purpose of straightening out the rest of us ignorant plodders. He understands that he has been anointed by our Creator to implement His will on earth and, therefore, those who disagree with him are godless heathens who can be dealt with as harshly as may be necessary to get them out of the way.
Dead gradeschoolers and pregnant women are just the "collateral damage" necessary to achieve the "Higher Purpose" that only he and a handful of others truly appreciate.
So, of course he does not consider his juvenile European gloat fest as an embarrassing stain on both our American judicial system and our international reputation. As far as he is concerned, if he says something, it is correct and appropriate even if we common folk consider it an alarming embarrassment.
Just think---if his wife hadn't sat behind him and cried about the pointed questions during his confirmation hearing, we might have been spared having this childish strutter on our highest court.
Is "He needed hittin'!" still a good defense if you punch someone in Texas?
