catchy.....
Bastian, please chip in now to help us stand up to corporate Democrats before tonights deadline!
----Begin Forwarded Message----
Tonight at midnight is our first end-of-month deadline since our organizing helped Bernies budget overcome corporate Democratic opposition to pass the House!
As the fight moves to the Senate, we are scaling up our organizing to make sure we can put enough pressure on Senators Manchin and Sinema to stop selling out their voters for donor cash.
If corporate Democrats are able to weaken or kill Bernies bill, we will be stuck with deadly high drug prices, a worsening climate crisis, soaring wealth inequality, and more. Thats why we need your help before tonights deadline.
Question: I'm sure Sanders supports BBB, but when did it become "Bernie's Bill" and "Bernie's Budget"?
North Texas man charged with assaulting cops during Capitol insurrection is running for Texas House
Source: Dallas Morning News
AUSTIN A North Texas man facing federal charges for allegedly assaulting police officers during the Jan. 6 insurrection and siege at the U.S. Capitol is now running for a Texas House seat.
Mark Middleton, who was indicted in May by a federal grand jury in Washington, D.C., is challenging incumbent GOP Rep. David Spiller of Jacksboro in House District 68. Following this years redistricting, the district stretches from the Oklahoma border south to Lampasas and San Saba counties at the edge of the Texas Hill Country.
According to the Texas secretary of state website, the state Republican Party has accepted Middletons application to be a candidate in the March 1 primary.
Middleton and his wife Jalise, of Forestburg, were captured on video and in photographs participating in the riot, the FBI says in a federal criminal complaint. They were arrested and released in April from the Collin County jail, according to jail records.

Mace fires back at Greene: 'Bat---- crazy'
Source: The Hill
Mace was responding to Green's Tuesday morning tweet that accussed her of being a RINO (Republican In Name Only) after the South Carolina Republican condemned Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) for making anti-Muslim remarks about Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.)
"@NancyMace is the trash in the GOP Conference," Greene tweeted. "Never attacked by Democrats or RINOs (same thing) because she is not conservative, shes pro-abort. Mace you can back up off of @laurenboebert or just go hang with your real gal pals, the Jihad Squad. Your [sic] out of your league."
While appearing on CNN, Mace had commented on the ongoing feud between Boebert and Omar which was sparked after the Colorado Republican joked about Omar, who is Muslim, being a terrorist. Mace denounced the incident as an example of "racist tropes and remarks" that have been made on both sides of the aisle.

Prosecutors demanded records of Sidney Powell's fundraising groups as part of criminal probe
Source: Washington Post
The grand jury subpoena, issued in September by the U.S. attorneys office for the District of Columbia, sought communications and other records related to fundraising and accounting by groups including Defending the Republic, a Texas-based organization claiming 501(c) 4 nonprofit status, and a PAC by the same name, according to the documents and a person familiar with the investigation who spoke on the condition of anonymity to share details of the probe.
As part of the investigation, which has not been previously reported, prosecutors are seeking records going back to Nov. 1, 2020.
The subpoena reviewed by The Post was signed by Assistant U.S. Attorney Molly Gaston, who is also handling politically charged matters related to the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, including contempt of Congress charges brought against former Trump adviser Stephen K. Bannon for refusing to testify in front of the House committee investigating the pro-Trump riot.

The Taliban executed scores of Afghan security forces members after surrender, HRW report alleges
Source: CNN
The HRW report detailed "the summary execution or enforced disappearance" of 47 former members of the Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF), including military personnel, police, intelligence service members and paramilitary militia, who had surrendered to or were apprehended by Taliban forces between August 15 and October 31.
HRW says the report is based on a total of 67 interviews, including 40 in-person interviews with witnesses, relatives and friends of victims, and Taliban fighters. Some people were granted anonymity by HRW for their report. In some cases, families report stories of people who simply disappeared.
The findings of the investigation would make a mockery of the Taliban's previous claims to the international community that it would lead a more inclusive government than it did two decades ago. Its leaders had promised a reprieve for those who collaborated with US forces during the American presence in the country.

Another video shows Lauren Boebert suggesting Ilhan Omar was terrorist
Source: CNN
In those same remarks, she said that she felt safe around Omar because the Democrat wasn't wearing a backpack while they were in an elevator together.
It's another instance in which Boebert suggested Omar, who is Muslim and wears a hijab, was a terrorist. On Monday, the two lawmakers sent dueling statements about a phone call between the pair set up by Boebert after she apologized last week to "to anyone in the Muslim community I offended," when similar comments surfaced on social media.
The video of Boebert's anti-Muslim comments, made in New York at a September Staten Island Conservative Party dinner, were posted on Facebook that month by an attendee running for borough president.

Jeffrey Epstein's former pilot testifies Bill Clinton, Donald Trump, Prince Andrew flew

The pilot, Larry Visoski, said he would typically be given notice if Clinton or high-profile passengers like him would be flying.
He recalled renowned violinist Itzhak Perlman flew to Michigan with Epstein for the Interlochen Center for the Arts summer camp. He said he remembered Prince Andrew, Maine Sen. George Mitchell, Ohio Sen. John Glenn and actor Kevin Spacey on flights.
He also said he'd fly Epstein to Columbus, Ohio, where Epstein also had property, to see billionaire businessman Les Wexner. Epstein referred to Wexner as his client but Visoski said he believed them to be friends as well.

Porter Airlines (Canada) to require passenger proof of vaccination
https://twitter.com/airlineflyer/status/1465697196246847494Kshama Sawant recall election is a high-stakes moment for Seattle
Seattle TimesBut the Dec. 7 recall election could have sweeping consequences, beyond the allegations on the ballot and beyond District 3, because a case can be made that few figures have influenced the citys politics as much in the past decade.
Sawants scorching rhetoric and uncompromising approach have pushed the council to the left on issues ranging from business taxes to renter protections and have altered the way City Hall operates.
Her recall could mark the end of an era in Seattle, augment wins earlier this month by moderates and disappoint hardcore socialists across the country. Her survival could buttress the councils progressive wing.
Dr. Oz is expected to join Pa.'s U.S. Senate race
Philadelphia InquirerWidely known as Dr. Oz, he has already hired top campaign aides and has reached out to some Republican political leaders in the state, according to multiple Pennsylvania Republicans familiar with the matter.
He would be seeking the Republican nomination in one of the countrys most critical races, adding another jolt to a contest that already this month saw the early GOP front-runner, Sean Parnell, politically collapse amid abuse accusations from his estranged wife. Parnell had won former President Donald Trumps endorsement in late August, but his abrupt downfall once again left a wide-open Republican field.
Political aides working with Oz did not immediately respond Monday to questions about his plans.
