I havent read the entire Brazile piece yet
But the gist I’ve gotten so far is that the DNC was being mismanaged under DWS and Hill, as a future candidate and most likely nominee, stepped in to help get its house in order in preparation for the primary.
Let’s not forget that when Brazile took over, she wasn’t feeling any coercion to choose Hill. Am I reading this right?
Nothing criminal took place, as no one was paid to stifle her opponent’s votes, nor was there any conspiracy to score delegates and superdelegates and basically the worst thing that could be said about this that she, Hill, bet on herself.
Is this correct?
She won the Democratic primary by a margin of three million votes. She won more states. She won most of the biggest states. She out fundraised her Democratic opponents. She had better name recognition. Her winning wasn’t a total surprise to me and I voted for Bernie in The Michigan Primary, because I stood closer to his positions than her’s by a handful of percentage points in a comparison survey.
I had absolutely no qualms voting for either one of them in a general election.
It could have gone the other way, and the Dem voters could have chosen Bernie instead. Had that happened, Hill would still be bound by the funding agreement with the DNC and would have supported Bernie’s nomination. Unless I’m missing something here. If that would have happened, where’s the proof that Hill would have abandoned the party and left Bernie to the wolves?
Does anyone here believe that she’d do nothing to stop Trump from getting elected because the majority of Dem voters wanted Bernie as their nominee? I can’t see her being that cynical.
Perhaps I’m missing something here. Obviously, I don’t give a damn about winger conspiracy theories or sour grapes from temporary “Democrats.” I want to know why it was wrong for Hill to bolster a failing DNC, something that she wouldn’t have to do if it wasn’t being mismanaged at the time and still be ambitious enough to run for President.
What were her alternatives? Especially since received three million more votes, more states and more delegates than Bernie.
Obviously, I don’t know everything here, so perhaps you all can help me out.
Cops Accuse Entire Family of Robbing their Own Home, Hold 4 Children at Gunpoint
Gulfport, MS — Kelvin Fairley and his wife Natasha Krikorkian are two successful newlyweds. Fairley, a registered nurse, and Krikorkian, a psychiatrist, live in a nice neighborhood with their three children. They have never broken the law and have never given the police any reason to ever interact with them. However, all that changed this week when they were accused of breaking into their own home and Fairley, Krikorkian and their children were all held at gunpoint and arrested.
“If you don’t do anything wrong, you have nothing to worry about.” This phrase is repeated ad nauseam by police apologists and the police as a terrible defense against those who wish to hold police accountable. But in reality, nothing could be further from the truth. If you are an innocent family, you can and will be assaulted with a deadly weapon, handcuffed, and berated. Sunday night, the Fairley family found this out the hard way.
“This is why football players kneel,” Fairley said of his horrifying experience as police swarmed his entire family, pulled guns on his children and handcuffed him and his wife. A neighbor had called police to report a robbery and when a dozen cops showed up, they automatically assumed the robber must be the car full of black people.
“I totally think they racially profiled me,” said Fairley. “They never would even tell me why they stopped me. From the moment they pulled us over, there were six to seven police cars. They immediately had their guns drawn.”
Fairley said cops gave him no reason for the stop and were belligerent from start to finish. He said he offered to show police his ID, but they wanted nothing to do with it.

Police Chief Who Compared Black People to ISIS and Wanted to Mow Them Down Charged With Hate Crime
An Ex-New Jersey Police chief has been charged with hate crimes and civil rights violations by federal prosecutors after revelations surfaced that he used dogs to attack black suspects, used hateful speech and physically attacked an African American teenager.
According to NJ.com, Frank Nucera, Jr. was the police chief in the small township of Bordentown, NJ until he abruptly retired in February 2017 after investigators began looking into his history of racially motivated violence and hate speech. Nucera came under scrutiny after an 18-year-old accused him of bashing his head into a doorway and officers recorded him calling black suspects the n-word multiple times.
William E. Fitzpatrick, Acting U.S. Attorney for New Jersey, called Nucera’s actions “A shocking breach of the duty of every police officer to provide equal justice under the law and never to mistreat a person in custody.” Much of the evidence in the complaint comes from secret recordings made by one of Nucera’s fellow officers who was “increasingly alarmed by (Nucera’s) racist remarks and hostilities toward African Americans.”

On September 1, 2016, police responded to the Bordentown Ramada for complaints of a fight between a couple who refused to pay for a room. The cops pepper-sprayed a black male and a 16-year-old girl after the two got into a struggle with officers, according to court documents. The cops called for backup and Nucera showed up.
As officers walked the couple to the patrol car, Nucera grabbed the male suspect and slammed the boy’s head into a metal doorjamb, even though, the complaint points out, the young man “was not kicking or struggling.” The suspect complained that he might have a concussion, but didn’t want to go to the hospital after Nucera miraculously cured the young man by hitting him again in the back of the neck. A few hours later, a police officer recorded Nucera making comments about the suspects, and black people in general.
“I tell you what, it’s going to get to the point where I could shoot one of these motherfuckers,” Nucera allegedly said in the recording. “And that nigger bitch lady, she almost got it.” The Courier-Post reports that Lucera went on to say:
That dog, that dog will stop anything right then and there (makes dog sound). I’m telling you. You’d have seen two fucking niggers stop dead. I love when they do that. I just love that.

Who Is Brianna Brochu? Student Who Smeared Used Tampons On Black Roommates Bag Arrested
A University of Hartford freshman was arrested Saturday following weeks of alleged abuse of her roommate, including rubbing a used tampon on her bag.
Brianna Brochu, 18, of Harwinton, Connecticut, was charged with two misdemeanors: second-degree breach of peace and third-degree criminal mischief. Brochu was released without bail according to the Hartford Courant. Her arraignment is Wednesday.
The university said it was investigating the matter.
“Upon learning of the incident, Public Safety immediately ensured that the victim was relocated to a safe location, notified local authorities, and provided support for their investigation. The accused student was subsequently arrested by the West Hartford Police Department and her case will proceed through the legal process. The University will continue to precisely execute our defined process outlined in the Code of Student Conduct,” the school said in a statement.
Brochu bragged about what she did to her roommate, Chennel Rowe, on her Instagram after she moved out. Brochu, who is white, called Rowe, who is black, “Jamaican Barbie.”
“Finally did it yo girl got rid of her roommate!! After 1 1/2 month of spitting in her coconut oil, putting moldy clam dip in her lotions, rubbing used tampons [on] her backpack, putting her toothbrush places where the sun doesn’t shine and so much more I can finally say goodbye Jamaican Barbie,” wrote Brochu.
