I absolutely trust President Obama over those calling "bullshite".. I've seen that crap for 7 years

over everything he does.

Oh this will really piss them off.. have at it, pitch forks and torches..

"If I didn’t think this was the right thing to do for working families, I wouldn’t be fighting for it. We’ve spent the past six years trying to rescue the economy, retool the auto industry, and revitalize American manufacturing. And if there were ever an agreement that undercut that progress, or hurt those workers, I wouldn’t sign it. My entire presidency is about helping working families recover from recession and rebuild for the future. As long as I’m President, that’s what I’ll keep fighting to do."

Mahalo cal~

Well said, snark! I miss you!!

"Desperation. His term is ending and they desperately need a colossal clusterfuck.

Something that will justify 7 years of their atrocious treatment.

I'm sure President Obama will be happy to disappoint them."

And, the President is Fighting for the most Progressive Trade Deal in history.. I don't care what

Elizabeth Warren has to say about it.

She sure as shite does.

"I do take Obama's point that the TPP is going to sail with or without the USA. And I laud him for trying to bend the deal as far in our favor as possible."

Thank you, MaggieD

Oh like he didn't fight for ACA/AKA/Obamacare? He hasn't fought for our Environment through

his EOs.. and.. ".. taken unprecedented action to build the foundation for a clean energy economy, tackle the issue of climate change, and protect our environment."

the way President Obama is always fighting for Women's Rights..

And, Gay Rights.. He's done more than any other President on Gay Rights..

On Gay Rights, Obama Has Built a Legacy

As far as fighting hard for this.. it's something else he believes in that would be good for our country.

All these accomplishments don't just magically appear. No Senator Brown is not right.

Yeah, and I don't read the OP you're referring to either.

I know this is suppose to be the funny OP but I take kicking gmos off the Hawaiian Islands

very seriously.

And, from MA Right to Know GMO comes this from 2013..

Elizabeth Warren joins the mandatory GMO labeling movement in big ways

Warren co-sponsors federal bill for Mandatory GMO labeling

Bernie's wasn't amused, either..

Bernie Sanders Calls Out the Corporate Controlled Senate For Rejecting GMO Labels

Yeah, politico.. Here's a article from 2012 on how the Defense Industry is watching.. from a Boston

Massachusetts defense industry watching Elizabeth Warren closely

WASHINGTON — It is one legacy of Senator Scott Brown’s tenure in Washington that Elizabeth Warren may want to continue: champion of the defense industry, a critical component of the Massachusetts economy.

But how the liberal senator-elect will come down on one of the most pressing issues facing the new Congress remains a burning question for industry groups and company executives who are wary of the former Harvard professor and have been relying on Brown, a member of the Armed Services Committee, to protect Pentagon contracts, military bases and thousands of Bay State jobs that depend on them.

“The defense technology community in particular is not quite sure of whether she is going to be supportive at the end of the day,” said Chris Anderson, president of the Massachusetts Defense Technology Initiative, which represents Waltham-based defense giant Raytheon, Textron, General Dynamics, BAE Systems, and other large and small defense companies and research universities in Massachusetts and across the region.

“She has an obligation to major sectors of the Massachusetts economy that are inextricably linked to the federal government,” Anderson said.

Warren has privately shown a desire to build bridges to the defense sector in Massachusetts. For example, two people with direct knowledge said that back in June, in the heat of the campaign, she initiated a phone call with William Swanson, the chief executive of Raytheon, which is the state’s largest single employer.

The President has done so much to make sure Women are treated equally.. starting with

the Lilly Ledbetter Act.

Obama Signs Equal-Pay Legislation

There's many more examples as we both know, freshwest~

Right the NYT is NEVER SLOPPY... and the beat goes on and on and on..

Always good to "hear", she, from such a

loving person as yourself.

Mahalo for posting this, she.. This dustup with Sen Warren has been on my mind all day since I read this ..

Elizabeth Warren is Not Telling the Truth About The Trans-Pacific Partnership Trade Deal

More precisely, President Obama is telling the truth about the deal, and Senator Warren is not. Since the TPP deal is still under negotiation, the merits of the final agreement are (or will be) debatable, but the deceptive rhetoric being employed by Warren is not.

"This is not a new phenomenon, and one which Sen. Warren seems to understand in the context of the P5+1 talks. When she is shocked, SHOCKED that the TPP deal isn’t available for public viewing while it is still being negotiated, she is not telling you the truth. She knows that the reason the deal isn’t available while it’s being negotiated is, right or wrong, because public pressure could, at any point, derail a flawed but fixable agreement. The reason she gives, however, is quite literally unbelievable:

Why? Here’s the real answer people have given me: “We can’t make this deal public because if the American people saw what was in it, they would be opposed to it.”

Seriously, Sen. Warren? “People” have given it to you? Way to narrow it down, because I was going to go away convinced you’d been advised by hoot owls, who are notorious liars. Why the secrecy, though? If these “people” are so sure TPP is a horrible deal, why can’t we talk to them? Can other people besides you see them?

Senator Warren calls TPP a “top secret” deal, she’s not telling you the truth. Any member of Congress can see it now, and before Congress votes on it, the final deal will be posted online for 60 days. What we can see now is the USTR summary of the deal, which, granted, isn’t the deal, but it isn’t nothing.

Finally, when Senator Warren says that the TPA bill leaves us “virtually no ability to stop it from the Senate or the House,” or concern-trolls about “fixing” a final deal through an amendments process that TPA shuts off, she’s not telling you the truth. The final deal, after its 60-day public review period, will receive an up-or-down vote, which means Congress can quite easily stop the deal. It just means that a minority in Congress can’t obstruct the deal. Ditto the amendments, which would not be a way to “fix” a final deal since the other 11 nations involved would also insist on that authority, irreparably gumming up the negotiations. Amendments, in this case, are a way to obstruct a final deal. See “nuclear deal, Iran” once again."
