Pab Sungenis
Pab Sungenis's JournalI have no problem with the concept of three or more major parties.
The Republicans are welcome to split into as many parties as they wish.
Mongo the Shadow Hunter
My brave cat Mongo does such a good job protecting us from the forces of darkness that lurk in the shadows.
His brother Ricky will just watch him and wonder WTF.
Second printing ordered for my book "Sidekick."
Just found out from my publisher: the distributor has ordered a second print run of my new novel "Sidekick: The Misadventures of the New Scarlet Knight."
On top of that, this second printing is triple the initial print run.
I like to think that this is proof that there is more of a market for books for teenage boys than the naysayers in publishing like to think.
Something to make you forget the Harlem Shake.
I want to see flash mobs doing THIS dance number.
Meta is still showing up in the "post a thread" page.
Shows up as "temporarily offline" if you try clicking on it.
You might want to fix that.
How women can help prevent rape
Don't elect candidates who make excuses for rapists or think of it as "a gift from God," and elect those who will treat it as the unforgivable violent crime it is.
Now that I think of it, that's how ALL OF US can help prevent rape.
Never mind.
If Meta is gone for good, can we just delete it?
It looks like it's still there but inactive; it's still showing up in "My Posts."
If it's really gone and inaccessible forever, I'd prefer to not see links to it in My Posts.
Thanks.
We could be looking at the worst case scenario.
The judge in Michigan has punted, and is waiting for the Supreme Court to decide on the Constitutionality of same sex marriage.
If a judge has to wait for the Supreme Court to decide if gay marriage is legal in his state, then we have a problem.
My fear has been that a 5-4 decision (Roberts, Scalia, Thomas, Alito, Kagan) will uphold DOMA and that Scalia will be picked to write the decision.
In that decision, much the way Citizen's United strayed off the mark, Scalia can claim that not only is DOMA Constitutional, but it is overriding. He can argue that it sets a Federal standard for marriage which states cannot deviate from; that if the Federal Government bans same-sex marriage, then the individual states can't say otherwise.
After all, conservatives only love States' Rights when they're used to hold minorities down.
