To anti-gay voters in Maryland, Maine, Washington, and Minnesota

You have no power here. Begone, before someone drops a house on you.

We won DESPITE their work to steal it.

We saw it all day long.

The vote switching machines in Pennsylvania.

The fake paper ballots in Ohio.

The intimidation everywhere.

We still won.

Thank you.

Thank you to every Democratic campaign volunteer. You all made this happen.

My voting experience.

We voted at 10 AM, as usual. Usually we're anywhere from #10 to #30 at that time, but today we were #248 and #249. Line was to the door and we waited an hour to vote.

Since we live in a heavily Republican district take this as you will, but there were a good number of young people and minorities in line too.

Voted straight line Democrat except I couldn't bring myself to vote for Menendez and pushed the button for the Green candidate instead. Municipal election had no Democrats so I picked the least objectionable slate.

Out of the mouths of babes....

Posted by a friend of mine on Facebook, a conversation between her and her children Xander ("X&quot and Anya ("A&quot :

X-know why I'm off school tomorrow? It's election day.
Me-who should mommy vote for?
X-Barack Obama!
A-The blue one!
X-because I think the red guy is a bad guy.

Reminder: The President will have NO COATTAILS

UNLESS YOU GIVE THEM TO HIM.

Volunteer to phone bank and precinct walk today and tomorrow.

Get out the vote, and make sure they vote downticket, too!

The rest of the "Obama hugging woman" photo says more than the most seen portion.

We've all seen the picture of Obama playing "comforter in chief" with the New Jersey woman who was devastated by Hurricane Sandy.

But how many people have seen the uncropped photo taken seconds later? That photo, to me, says even more than the one that's gotten all the press. Here it is, in full:

The look on Governor Christie's face is priceless. I wonder what he's thinking?

Is he trying desperately hard not to look at the woman?

Is he beginning to realize how disastrous his party's policies have been?

Is he ashamed upon seeing how a real leader operates?

Is he having an epiphany about how wrong he's been politically all his life?

Is he, the leader of partisan witch-hunts while a Prosecutor for Karl Rove for years, coming to terms with the idea that there's more to governing than playing politics?

This photo shows better than most just what a difference there is between the Democratic philosophy of government and the Republican.

So the next time you want to pat Chris Christie on the back and try to welcome him into our party, remember this picture.

Just curious here. How many of you,

after serving on a jury, rush here to watch the fireworks when the results come back?

October 29, 2012

We need a direct alert to MIRT button.

Taking a crapshoot on a jury hiding what is an obvious right wing troll spewing Republican talking points before MIRT gets to look at them is too much of a chance. Some feel anything short of hate speech isn't "offensive" enough to hide.

An option to alert a low-post-count troll directly to the MIRT would be immensely helpful.

I'm right in the path of the storm!

Just saw the latest path projections for Hurricane Sandy.

The eye is projected to pass right over my house.

Wheeee. See you all after the electric and net is restored.
