Report: Kushner's Covid-19 testing plan 'went poof into thin air'

According to a Vanity Fair report, White House senior adviser, Jared Kushner, was working on a secret national testing plan in the spring to help bring the spread of Covid-19 under control.

The fact a plan existed is amazing.

That they killed it is while not surprising is quite insane and very damaging for Trump imo.

But if it was killed for the reasons stated in the report, then THIS should END TRUMP.

Pay attention to the White House Spokesperson's response. She never once said there was NOT a plan. What a political gold mine this is imo.

Pelosi mandates masks in House chamber after Gohmert tests positive for Covid-19

Source: CNN.com

Washington (CNN)House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced Wednesday she would require all House members and aides to wear masks on the floor after Texas Rep. Louie Gohmert -- who was often in the chamber interacting with colleagues and refusing to wear a face-covering -- tested positive for coronavirus.

"Members and staff will be required to wear masks at all times in the hall of the House," Pelosi announced from the House floor Wednesday afternoon.

Lawmakers will be permitted to temporarily take off masks when they are speaking.

Members and staff will not be allowed to enter if they don't wear masks. Pelosi noted that as speaker she has the authority to direct the House sergeant-at-arms to tell members to leave if they do not wear a mask.

From a friends FB post... COVID "humor/commentary"

So we're into our 5th month of defeating COVID-19. I didn’t write this but These words made me laugh but there's a lot of truth mixed in to consider. . .😂

1. So let me get this straight, there’s no cure for a virus that can be killed by sanitizer and hand soap?

2. Is it too early to put up the Christmas tree yet? I have run out of things to do.

3. When this virus thing is over with, I still want some of you to stay away from me.

4. If these last months have taught us anything, it’s that stupidity travels faster than any virus on the planet. Just look at the idiot wearing his mask below his nose in Publix.

5. Just wait a second – so what you're telling me is that my chance of surviving all this is directly linked to the common sense of others? You’re kidding, right?

6. People are scared of getting fined or arrested for congregating in crowds, as if catching a deadly disease and dying a horrible death wasn’t enough of a deterrent.

7. If you believe all this will end and we will get back to normal just because we reopen everything, raise your hand. Now slap yourself with it.

8. Another Saturday night in the house and I just realized the trash goes out more than me.

9. Whoever decided a liquor store is more essential than a hair salon is obviously a bald-headed alcoholic.

10. Remember when you were little and all your underwear had the days of the week on them. Those would be helpful right now.

11. The spread of Covid-19 is based on two factors: 1. How dense the population is and 2. How dense the population is.

12. Remember all those times when you wished the weekend would last forever? Well, wish granted. Happy now?

13. It may take a village to raise a child, but I swear it’s going to take a whole vineyard to homeschool one.

14. Did a big load of pajamas so I would have enough clean work clothes for this week.

Barry Diller Has No Time for Talk of a World Changed by Pandemic

LINK

(Bloomberg) -- Forget working from home and Zoom meetings. Barry Diller is betting the future looks a lot like the past.

A billionaire who made his fortune first as a Hollywood mogul and more recently in online dating, Diller is predicting that life pretty much returns to normal once there’s a coronavirus vaccine. Families will again take vacations and managers will send employees to conferences.

He’d better hope so, because one of his companies -- Expedia Group Inc., the online travel agency -- depends on it.

“You cannot live in this moment where we project the future based on present circumstance,” Diller said in a Bloomberg “Front Row” interview. “I think relatively little changes.”

Few chief executives share his view. Many are preparing for a world permanently altered by the pandemic, touting the virtues of video conferencing and discussing plans to downsize real estate.

While I think he's guilty of some very self-serving projection, at least he links a "return" to a vaccine. IMO anyone who does not get that is in for a very jarring awakening and a lot of frustration.

Full disclosure: I'm a big admirer of Barry Diller and his IAC team
