Trump wants govt to be run like in Middle Ages --3 main points

1) the ruler IS the country/state/nation

2) giving over your country's officials, diplomats to a forign power for 'interrogation' is accepted policy (ie, considering giving Russia former US ambassador, people giving info on Steele Dossier, etc, etc)

3) withdrawing all protection from previous leader (ie, denying any embassy aid to Obama in So Africa)

In other words Trump wants to eliminate everything painfully developed over centuries that has enabled countries to deal with each other without going to war

So in 90s I asked colleagues who taught Spanish. They very politely explained that many Hispanics/Latinos-as had Indian (ie, Native American) ancestry and therefore were not pure Spanish (ie, Castillian).

Also African ancestry.

Never understood how some colleagues passionately loved and taught Spanish -- Mexican, etc -- language and cuture yet were anti-immigrant.
