Manager posts video saying he fired 46 vaccinated workers to get under 100 employees

Small problem: he wasn’t the owner and he just got fired himself.

Organizers seek to change Lee County, Florida, to Bruce Lee County

A new petition is hoping to change the narrative behind the county, dropping Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee in favor of the iconic martial artist.

A new Change.org petition is seeking to rebrand Lee County in southwest Florida to Bruce Lee County.

In an effort to “eradicate” racism in both Florida and across the country, a local arts organization is calling for the rebrand instead of a complete name change to minimize the costs, while still changing the narrative behind the county’s namesake.

“I’m not a fan of living in Robert E. Lee County. It doesn’t make me proud,” said Brian Weaver, owner of the Florida-based organization Artsemble Underground, which started the petition last month.

In the petition, the group of artists said they chose Bruce Lee, to replace Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee, as the county namesake because of his impact as a leading actor, martial artist and pop culture icon of his time.

“He is credited with helping to change the way Asians were presented in American films,” the petition reads. “We are not trying to change our past, we are trying to improve our future, and what better way than [to] use an inspiring, positive influential figure as our namesake.”

Lee County was originally named in 1887 at the behest of prominent Fort Myers citizens and Confederate Capt. Francis Hendry. Hendry was a fan of the controversial general, who, over time, was transformed into a pillar of the South, despite being responsible for hundreds of thousands of American deaths during the Civil War. And at one point, Robert Lee’s family owned hundreds of enslaved people.

Another wacko RW candidate making empty threats.

This clown, a retired navy guy, finished dead ass last in his own party’s 2020 primary so I guess he has to make some noise to be seen as still relevant.

Another RW antivax religious nutcase has departed.

From wiki, this guy sounded like a real piece of work.

Enyart has picketed the homes of doctors performing abortions, causing one Colorado town to ban such protests in residential neighborhoods.[3] Enyart also angered families of AIDS victims when he read the men's obituaries on his television show calling the deceased a sodomite.[4] Enyart has also led residential protests against executives of a company which provided construction services for Planned Parenthood offices leading to similar neighbor complaints.[5] Enyart has criticised presidential candidates who do not share his view on abortion.[6]

He is a proponent of corporal punishment of children saying that their "hearts are lifted" by spanking.[7] He was convicted of misdemeanor child abuse in 1994 after beating his girlfriend's child with a belt so hard that the beating broke the skin.[8][9]

Bob Enyart filed a lawsuit which got U.S. District Court judge and Trump appointee to issue a temporary restraining order against the Colorado public-health order over COVID-19 and the wearing of masks during religious services, also against rules preventing gatherings exceeding 175 people during the pandemic. Bob Enyart and his wife have refused to take the Johnson & Johnson, Moderna, and Pfizer COVID vaccines because they were reportedly and without substantiation, "tested on cell lines from aborted fetuses". Both Enyart and his wife developed COVID,[14] and Bob Enyart subsequently died from the disease on approximately September 13, 2021.[15]

Yep, TFG’s abortion milkshake pal in a wee bit of trouble.

I hope it’s nothing serious.

TN woman busted for 20 lbs of marijuana, 40 plants on her farm

Love this mugshot

JACKSON, Tenn. (ABC4) – A Tennessee woman is facing big trouble after a drug bust at her farm.

Peggy Brewington was arrested in Jackson, Tennessee following a month-long investigation.

On August 27, a drug task force and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search of Brewington’s home. During the search, they asked Brewington how much marijuana was inside the residence. Brewington responded with, “maybe an ounce.”

After a continued search of the residence, officers located over 20 pounds of marijuana inside the home and around 40 marijuana plants from around the property. A second search was conducted at a nearby residence and more growing marijuana and processed marijuana was recovered.

Brewington will now face the Jackson County Grand Jury for her charges.

Another 'patriot' bites the dust.

When former President Donald Trump sent a tweet early this year promoting Jan. 6 as a “Historic day,” a conspiracy-minded former bodybuilder from Michigan let the president know he had his back.

“I’ll be there,” Logan Barnhart replied to @realDonaldTrump on Twitter.

Now, seven months after the man online sleuths dubbed #CatSweat was photographed dragging a police officer down a set of stairs during the attack on the U.S. Capitol, the Michigan man has been arrested by the FBI. An official confirmed the arrest to HuffPost Tuesday morning.

Barnhart, whom the FBI referred to as Capitol suspect 128-AFO because he was wanted for assaulting federal officers, was a major target for the “Sedition Hunters” community, which had given him the nickname “CatSweat” because he was wearing a sweatshirt branded with the name of Caterpillar, the construction equipment manufacturer. (Barnhart worked as a machine operator for Barnhart & Son Inc., which is owned by his father.)

HuffPost positively identified Barnhart before his arrest based on the work of citizen sleuths months ago, but held off on publishing his name based on his violent history (which included rioting charges when he was a teenager) and because the FBI was working on the case.

The Onion nails it.

KABUL, AFGHANISTAN—As reporters, news crews, and pundits rushed to evacuate from Hamid Karzai International Airport, the United States completed its withdrawal from Afghanistan Monday, thereby marking the end to the longest media farce in American history.

“Today, 20 years after the first invasion, we are finally concluding our nation’s longest-ever campaign of media hot air and bullshit punditry,” said Georgetown University historian Alan Hawthorne, adding that the media’s mission to sell the American public on the essentially impossible goal of establishing a self-sufficient government in Afghanistan had dragged on through two decades, four presidents, and three generations of journalists.

“Ever since the attacks on September 11, the U.S. media machine has sacrificed countless hours of prime-time coverage to validate the idea that we could accomplish something of lasting value to Afghanistan, struggling valiantly against common sense and any inkling of skepticism toward the policy establishment. Of course, America’s newspapers engaged in similar campaigns in Vietnam, Korea, and Iraq. But none lasted so long, and few mischaracterized the situation so thoroughly to the American people.”

Hawthorne went on to add that despite having withdrawn from the occupation, the damage the U.S. media did to the reputation of journalists everywhere could last for generations
