Has Pat Robertson seen the Light?

Or are the rats just abandoning ship?

The 700 Club's Pat Robertson finally was forced to admit the truth about Donald Trump after being a dutiful sycophant for the last four years.

Robertson has been praying for a miracle these last few weeks to allow Trump to get a second term even after he lost the November 3 election bigly and even has been justifying every conspiracy theory that Rudy Giuliani has peddled throughout.

But now after Trump incited the seditious riot and ransacking of the Capitol, Robertson took a different tone.

"There was a madness yesterday, and it came on Donald Trump," he said.

The evangelical leaders said that Trump had the entire Congress ready to fight for him including Ted Cruz in both chambers, but....

"So what does Trump do? He goes crazy, and he urges the huge crowd that came to Washington to support him to take a march on the capitol, --- they took over the capitol. They invaded the offices and just did a horrible thing."

Robertson even panned Trump for attacking Georgia's Governor and Secretary of State who are Republicans and both Senate candidates went down in flames because of Trump's madness.

Look in the mirror, Pat.

'Up' documentary maker Michael Apted dies at 79

(Reuters) - British filmmaker Michael Apted, the man behind the “Up” documentaries that chronicled the lives of a group of British children for more than 50 years, has died at the age of 79, his U.S. agent said on Friday.

Apted also directed Hollywood movies ranging from the 1999 James Bond blockbuster “The World is Not Enough” to the Loretta Lynn country singer biography “Coal Miner’s Daughter” and dozens of TV shows, including episodes of British soap “Coronation Street” in the 1967.

Apted died on Thursday at his Los Angeles home, Roy Ashton, his agent in the United States, said. Details of his death were not available.

Apted’s most notable project was the “Up” series. It began in 1964 as a television documentary about the hopes and dreams of 14 7 year-old children from diverse backgrounds who Apted revisited every seven years to see how their lives had changed.

The series, which won multiple awards over the years, was inspired by the saying “Give me a child until he is 7 and I will show you the man.” The most recent, “63 Up,” was released in 2019.

Apted was born in Britain, attended Cambridge University and started his career as a researcher at Britain’s Granada Television, where the idea for the first “Up” documentary was born.

In later life, he moved to Los Angeles and directed dozens of movies, including “Gorillas in the Mist,” thriller “Gorky Park,” “Thunder Heart” and “Enigma.” He served as president of the Directors Guild of America (DGA) from 2003-2009.

What a difference two days makes!

Then and now.

Obama awarded VP Joe the Medal of Freedom before leaving office.

What will Donald award Mike Pence?

WASHINGTON – Before leaving office, President Barack Obama awarded the nation’s highest civilian honor – the Presidential Medal of Freedom – to his vice president.

In President Donald Trump’s final days, he has presented similar honors to California Rep. Devin Nunes, one of his most vocal supporters during impeachment, and to three professional golfers.

To his vice president, Trump bestowed the label of coward.

The staunchly loyal Mike Pence was excoriated by Trump on Wednesday for his refusal to illegally intervene to prevent Congress from certifying the results for the presidential election that Trump lost.

“Mike Pence didn’t have the courage to do what should have been done to protect our Country and our Constitution,” Trump tweeted in a post that Twitter removed Wednesday evening.

Trump has also barred Pence’s chief of staff, Marc Short, from the White House.

“He’s blaming me for advice to VP,” Short told RealClearPolitics.

Pence has not spoken publicly about the rift.

But Sen. Jim Inhofe told the Tulsa World on Wednesday that he’s “never seen Pence as angry as he was today.”

The Oklahoma Republican told USA TODAY he talked to Pence about Trump's rebuke. Pence, he said, was “very upset” with Trump.
