Priebus, Hair Douchengroper and his minions are concerned about press lies

per Priebus "But when you have articles out there that have no basis or fact and we're sitting here on 24-7 cable companies writing stories..."

Kind of like...
the bs stories about Obama being from Kenya.
or the bs stories about his birth certificate
or the bs stories about Hilary Clinton being medically unfit because of some phantom seizure
or the bs stories about Obama being a closet Muslim (or for the freeper trolls... Muslin)

I didn't hear fucking squat of outrage from PR BS Reince about any of that.
So fuck off Reinceid

Called Senator Enzi's office today to provide my 'unwavering support'

Senator Enzi told a group of middle school and high schools “We always say that in Wyoming you can be just about anything you want to be, as long as you don’t push it in somebody’s face,” and then went on some sort of tangent about guys wearing tutus in bars. Something I was unaware of that must happen often in Wyoming or something

Anyway, I talked to this very nice woman in his office and told her, "I for one wish to let the senator know of my unwavering support for what the senator said. I am in 100% agreement with him."

She thanked me.

Then I said, "I for one am sick and tired of people thrusting stuff in my face in public when I just want to be left alone. I cannot tell you the number of times I've been some place and there are people with their big printed shirts and their signs telling us how much they love Jesus and how we need to repent, or some other religious thingy. Talk about invasive. I've been on subway trains and buses and stuff and some person begins preaching to all there about his or her faith in God and how we're all going to hell if we don't repent. It's about time someone said what most of us think and that's 'You can be just about anything as long as you don't push it in my face."

She then told me Enzi believes in people having a right to their faith and doesn't find them at all intrusive and hung up on me.

Nasty Nastase really is Nasty and rather pathetic

Those of us who paid only mild attention to tennis in the 1970's can tell you the names of men's tennis players like Jimmy Connors, Bjorn Bork, Arthur Ashe, John McEnroe, etc. One of those names is/was Ilie Nastase, aka Nasty Nastase.
He was tennis racket slamming, hot-tempered, screaming at officials long before John McEnroe. It seems that his earned nickname is most appropriate. Not only is the man a juvenile, screeching, whining, over indulged a$$, he is also a racist, misogynist (Oh and victim. I'll get to that at the end)

According to the Times London
...about Williams, who is pregnant and taking a break from the sport. Nastase said: “Let’s see what colour [the child] has. Chocolate with milk?”
Nastase is also being investigated by the ITF for sexist comments he made to Johanna Konta, the British No 1. and Anne Keothavong, the team captain.

Nastase, of course, did nothing wrong according to him. And of course, he's the victim.

“It’s nothing new. I am like that on the court,” Nastase, who also directed abuse towards match officials, said. “What did I do? I killed somebody? I don’t understand. My God!”
According to him He also rescued Wimbledon because he played in 1973, during the player boycott of the event.
Expressing incomprehension as to how his conduct during a Fed Cup event could have any bearing on his status as a Wimbledon guest, he said: “What can I do? Maybe these people are sick in the head? Really.”

Nastase said that if he were banned from the Royal Box he would not come to Wimbledon as a spectator.

And I am certain that all Britain mourns that this individual will not attend Wimbledon.

Some people. Not sure which would be worse; to find out he really is a racist, that he is just playing one for the attention, or that he is just so clueless he can't see it

Yes folks, friends and neighbors, Marion 'Pat' Robertson is right

We have been raising a nation of wimps

And it all started about four decades ago with a group of white, Christians (who are/were0 about four-fifths of the country complaining when they didn't get 100% of everything they wanted.
No prayer in public schools... Oh, the persecution!
Only 99.8% of all elected representatives in the US are Jewish or Christian... It's Armageddon
No Christmas shows in public schools?... We are being driven from all aspects of society
Some politician or public figure somewhere didn't thank God or Jesus... Christianity has been driven from all manner of public discourse!
Some figure in the media criticizes something dumb they say or do... It's the Holocaust all over again!
Criticism of the Grahams, the Pope, Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell, etc... the horror of the anti-Christian society

Let's not ever forget Marion 'Pat' Robertson claiming that Christians in America were the most persecuted group on the planet.
Yeah... worse than the Romani are treated in Europe. Christians in North Korea are run over by tanks. The Falun Gong in China anyone?
Christians in the US, big houses, cars, well paying jobs, their members filling jobs both public and private. So, so persecuted. How do they ever survive?

Come on Marion. Buck up Buttercup! Stop being so weak

Franciscan superiors ask pope to allow brothers to be elected leaders

ROME - The superiors of the four main branches of the Franciscan friars formally asked Pope Francis for permission to allow their communities to elect brothers to positions of leadership in their communities.

“With us Pope Francis is looking at the possibilities for moving this project forward,” Father Michael Perry, minister general of the Friars Minor, told Vatican Radio. “We left a letter as a formal request for a dispensation” from canon law requirements that in most religious orders with both priests and brothers only a priest can be elected to the top leadership offices.

snip

The rules governing eligibility for leadership in religious orders with a strong mix of brothers and priests - especially if those orders, like the Franciscans, were founded without distinction between lay and ordained - has been going on since the Second Vatican Council.

snip

Still, for orders like the Franciscans in which most members are priests, the Vatican has insisted that ordination is a requisite for “the power of governance.” It has vetoed the election of brothers as superiors of orders that have more priests than brothers as members, even when the order’s constitutions do not insist the superior be a priest.

UNC's Roy Williams uncertain about White House visit for Tar Heels

Roy Williams is uncertain if the Tar Heels will even get invited. A critic of Hair Douchengroper and his infant-vile tweeting during the ACC tournament with comments such as, "You know, our president tweets out more bulls--- than anybody I've ever seen."
But, when asked about going he went with, "You know, the office of the presidency of the United States is the most fantastic place you can be, but let me think on it,"
He did however, have high praise for the banner they would be hanging in the Smith Center.
Roy Williams coached teams won the National Championship in 2005 and 2009. In '05 they did not go to the White House, but they did in '09

From the depths of depravity: Caligulas party boat to be raised after 2,000 years

After a brutal four-year reign in which he killed for pleasure, allegedly slept with his sisters and tried to appoint his horse a consul, the Roman Emperor Caligula was assassinated and his memory hushed up by his imperial successors.

Two thousand years on, researchers hope to bring back to life his debauched regime by raising the lost wreck of one of his enormous party boats from the muddy bottom of an Italian lake.

Divers using high-tech scanners will start scouring Lake Nemi, south of Rome, today in the hunt for the remains of a 400ft vessel on which, according to legend, Caligula threw wild orgies during his reign from AD37 to 41.

snip

“If it’s down there, and it’s that long, then we are talking about the world’s first luxury cruise ship,” said Alberto Bertucci, the mayor of Nemi, the local town, who is masterminding the search. “Every emperor had a villa — but Caligula demanded floating villas complete with columns, hot water, gold and mosaics.”

according to a small bit under the pic at the top of the article, 'Caligula’s pleasure craft had hot running water and technology not replicated in the Royal Navy until 1841'

Revealed: rich peers paid for doing nothing

Multimillionaire peers are claiming up to £40,000 a year in expenses for attending the House of Lords while making little or no contributions to debates, committees or questions, an investigation by The Sunday Times has found.

snip

The rules allow members to claim up to £300 a day for “attendance”, the only requirement being they show their faces in the chamber or a committee at some point while it is sitting.

Among the highest claimants was Lord Paul, one of Britain’s richest men. Paul, a crossbencher who was suspended seven years ago for an expenses violation, received £40,800 last year despite making no contributions in the chamber or on committees.

snip

Earlier this year former Lords Speaker Baroness D’Souza told a BBC documentary she had serious concerns over the system, but had abandoned an inquiry into it, fearing the result would be “naming and shaming” of her fellow peers.
