'It's like the end of the world' inside San Juan's steaming airport
SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico — There's a new front in this island's growing humanitarian crisis in the wake of Hurricane Maria: the airport.
Thousands of sweating, hopeful passengers have thronged inside Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport, desperate to catch a flight off the storm-ravaged island.
Airlines, which have canceled dozens of flights over the past week, began commercial flights to the U.S. on Sunday. Passengers wait in long lines inside terminals running on backup generators with no air conditioning. Many have spent the night inside the steamy terminals, hoping for a chance to leave.
"It's like the end of the world," said Andrew Arteaga, who spent five nights at the airport with his wife, Marjet Mendez, and 8-month-old daughter, Ayla.

The Coffin Industry Proudly Supports the Graham-Cassidy Health Care Bill
Satire by MATTHEW DISLERWell, there’s another effort to repeal Obamacare, and once again there are a handful of fringe groups speaking out against the new bill, like the American Medical Association, the National Council for Behavioral Health, the American Cancer Society Action Network, the American Diabetes Association, the American Heart Association, the American Lung Association, the Arthritis Foundation, the National Health Council, the March of Dimes, the American Hospital Association, AARP, the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, and America’s Health Insurance Plans.
But Americans know that we can’t trust people like doctors and insurers to tell us about our health and our insurance. It’s time for other industry groups to take a stand. That’s why the coffin industry is proud to support the new health care bill.
Whenever we evaluate a piece of legislation, the coffin industry asks two questions. One: Will it help Americans? And two: Will it help coffins? I think the answer, in the case of this bill, is clear.
Let’s put it this way: There are millions of Americans without work. But each new coffin requires the labor of five employees to cut the wood, assemble the wood, insert cushions, polish everything, and test the coffin’s durability by dropping it from six-foot ledges. That’s not even counting all of the other professions in dozens of coffin-related industries, from the truck drivers who transport the coffins to your Main Street funeral parlor to the security guards who have to fight off people who think they are vampires and try to steal the coffins.

Uniting Against Ugliness: Donald Trump's Rhetoric Re-Energizing NFL Movement
The movement was dying. In fact, it was all but dead.
Over a year ago, Colin Kaepernick sat, then took a knee, during the national anthem to protest social injustice. It started a movement, a movement that he paid dearly for with his career. He remains, to this day, blackballed by the NFL.
The movement grew. Players took notice and they took knees. Kaepernick was sacrificed and then gone from the NFL, yet the movement went on.
But soon, dozens of players turned into a few. In recent weeks, just a handful of NFL players followed Kaepernick's lead.
The movement was dying. In fact, it was all but dead.
Then, a great big buffoon came along. He huffed, and he puffed, and he angered, and he played his base like a fiddle. Then, suddenly, there wasn't disinterest from players. There also wasn't just anger from them. There was genuine fury.
