So the Phillies are destroying the Braves so

Who in Georgia is watching the debate?

Here is a question I have long pondered:

Say for the sake of argument we lose the House and the 1/6 Committee is no longer in existence or whatever the mechanism might be for renewal or reconstitution. What is to prevent the Senate, still hopefully in Democratic hands, from creating a Select Committee a la Watergate? You KNOW that if the situation were reversed, there’d already have been ten Senate committees looking into this.

As usual: Enquiring minds want to know!!

No...Alex Jones did not lie...

Lying is when you say you returned the borrowed garden tool when you full-well know it’s in your garage but can’t or won’t own up to it…or asserting to your wife/husband/lover that you were just meeting the high school friend for a drink when in fact you wound up at the Super 8 Motel…or saying that you returned all the classified documents when you certainly did not. Those are lies of variable importance.

What Jones did in fact was to attempt to destroy the very underpinnings of civilization by proclaiming that a horrifying tragedy involving the horrendously destructive painful deaths of children and teachers did in fact not occur, that the parents, brothers, sisters, grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends and acquaintances did not suffer the incalculable losses. For that is what they are: incalculable, the grotesquely unnecessary disruption of the firmament of the world, the gestalt of the social universe, has been wrenched and vaporized for all time.

To do this to these families is in my opinion essentially a capital crime and should be treated as such. This is criminality of the worst endeavors and no less than life in prison should await the perpetrators of this engine of crime. These families have been utterly destroyed twice and as someone once said: “Somebody’s gotta go to jail.” So be it Mr Jones.

Well this is going to put a bit of a dent in the financials of that prick Jones...

I lost count trying to add it up in my head….

Anecdotal good news:

My first patient today was a lovely African-American woman whom I’ve treated for 30 years. She is in her 70s, dynamic, funny, tough, and smart. Our hygienist is out sick so I cleaned her teeth and afterwards I said, “The world‘s a mess - I hope you’re planning to vote.” And she looked at me and she said “Everybody’s planning to vote: my entire family, everyone on the block, they are going to the nursing homes and getting people out to vote one way or another because this is absolutely the worst it’s ever been.”

She went on to say, and I’m paraphrasing a bit, that the Republicans have plans which they execute for years and years and years while the Democrats play nice guy and wait for stuff to happen, and the time for being nice is over.

Needless to say we had a wonderful discussion after that with me quoting many of the stories and posts from this site and by the end my last comment was to her “You take care, see you in six months, and keep the faith!”

A great way to start the day…

I awakened this morning (which is a good thing) and had a thought...

Perhaps this whole secret document thing is even bigger than is obvious. It would not be beneath him to have distributed critically important and classified-beyond-human-comprehension in a series of FedEx envelopes/boxes and distributed them for shipment if he is indicted or otherwise compromised.

These documents could be almost literally earth-shaking. Subjects might include placement of electronic assets in other countries as well as even more “interestingly” domestically and you can use your imagination there; military and civilian frequencies for certain transmissions and the algorithms for switching them; placements of weapons and ammunition for emergency retrieval by federal troops/officers; detailed specifications concerning spy satellites 🛰, complete engineering diagrams and specifications for weapons including nuclear and ICBM capabilities; evidence of extraterrestrial intelligence/contact and unexpurgated narratives and conclusions concerning same; raw interview transcripts of individuals which contain information which would undermine significant preconceived notions of the American populace and Lord knows what else.

What people may or may not realize is that for all the little secrets which we keep hidden involving our personal lives and families, there are gigantically important secrets, the knowledge of which would alter the way we perceive whole aspects of our civilization and individuals. There are whole industries devoted to the existence of these secrets including the literature of supposedly-fictional spy and political thrillers which detail complex plots and personalities which may or may not be allegorical stories of real-life occurrences.

This guy may have thousands of these documents poised for release…and the resulting cataclysm would overwhelm the civilization. When I saw that photo of the bankers boxes, shrink-wrapped and voluminous, I realized that he pulled out all stops. Remember…there is no “bottom”.

And as an aside: can you imagine if one secret about which we have known since our childhoods was revealed and it’s repercussions? I’m referring of course to the true and complete recipe for Coca Cola, which is known supposedly by fewer than ten people. The ramifications would be huge. And that is all about a soft drink. Then consider if the technical specifications for building a backpack nuclear device became available. No fissile material? Check that other document for storage facilities…or transports, or which of your neighbors work in the facility and is subject to personal blackmail. The possibilities are endless.

Long-winded I know… but quite possible. There is much going on about which we know less than nothing.

Someone needs to explain to me...

On Morning Joke this A.M., The following news report was made: President Biden‘s approval rate inched up which is good news for the Democrats, the bad news for the Democrats is that 7 in 10 think the country is going in the wrong direction.

Now I am one of those people who thinks that the country‘s going in the wrong direction, but I am certainly not going to vote for the Republican fascist party because I think that is the case. The fact is, I think so right now, only because of the Republicans and their Naziesque machinations . The implication is that seven and 10 people are leaning Republican because there happens to be a Democratic president. In addition, OPEC has raised the price of gasoline and other products by diminishing their production, so this is somehow the fault of the President of the United States directly, Just like he was responsible for the bacterial contamination of baby formula plants. I might add that is cause and effect is only reported as such widely when there is a Democrat in the White House.

So my (possibly rhetorical) question to the DU body politic is where are the interviewees who know a little bit about math who can refute some of the implications of statistics, even assuming that they are true and accurate which in my opinion is a poor assumption at this time?

(As an aside some of you may or may not know the following: did you ever take a look at the studies which follows to say 250 people over 20 years to see how they react to things? Now the implication is that in the study, all 250 of the people are interviewed 20 times equaling 5000 interviews. This is absolutely not the case: what the researchers do is apply statistical formulas to calculate what someone would probably say if they had managed to contact them. I’m not kidding, I have a family member who applies these formulas routinely in research studies. When I first heard this, I literally burst out laughing. Apparently, scientifically, the tests are statistically significant and are accepted within the scientific community. Of course, so was the steady state theory of the creation of the universe accepted within the scientific community until evidence proved otherwise, but I digress.)

An "easy fast" for those DUers who do and a happy, healthy,

and prosperous New Year to all. May you all be inscribed and sealed in the Book of Life for the coming year

And…President Biden needs to address the Country and the world in a primetime slot to state what he is going to do to mitigate the effects of the OPEC/MBS/Trump-the-Traitor oil gambit. This cannot go without severe repercussions.

And on this holiest of Jewish Holy Days, I fervently pray that four indictments come down on the same day for that traitorous, lying gasbag.

I hereby atone for all my sins and inappropriate wishes and behaviors.
