I recall an "aha" moment from the day after the 1992 Election:

I shall never forget: I was off Wednesdays in those days in order to watch my infant child and grow and bond with her, and was watching C-SPAN and listening to the callers while I was doing chores and whatever, and a female caller from the Republican Line stated, and I will never forget what she said,: "I'm taking down my flag for the next four years. This man (Bill Clinton) is not my President and I will not regard him as such."

I realized then how deeply the Right felt about political illegitimacy when things don't go their way, but how we on the Left have no business feeling that way, since "the people have spoken". It was a long time ago...in a galaxy far away.

Actually we had a President whose name was plastered

All over the place and was a commercial success:

Yep. President Ford.

Sorry. Couldn't resist.

Holy crap: Mail bomb in Philly

This just happened today here in Philly. There are significant issues here if you read the entire piece

It was an electoral "Fire Sale"

Like the fourth Die Hard film, cyberterrorists took over targets this time it was key voting districts' machines and changed the outcome of the election by using pinpoint hacking technology.

Don't think it's possible? In 2012 KKKarl was certain that Ohio waS going his way but was stymied by either counterterrorism or incompetence but they didn't make that mistake thus time. Oh no. They knew what they had to do and executed it with skill. This time there was no John McClane around to thwart them and we know that at least one intelligence agency wanted this outcome.

The question is: what to do now if anything?

It is great to be back here but I have a confession to make:

No...I did NOT vote for Trump...

I was active in a couple groups on FB to which I belong which were populated by largely Trump-positive individuals and tried to posit some issues which we discuss here. I have never seen or dealt with such irrational, fascistic, idiotic, uninformed, racist, anti-Semitic (BY JEWS!!), demoncially-lockstep, dittohead individuals in my life.

I am so relieved to return here to sanity.

Thank you DU.

thank God. nt

Going to vote where Thomas Roberts is

I'll try to get on tv and give DU a shout out

I just lost it with a Trump patient:

He was giving me the email BS about Hillary and I said "Your ass must be jealous of all that shit coming out of your mouth." He was stunned.
