Does it make sense for Biden to announce his V.P. pick on a Friday?

I am excited to hear who'll be on the ballot when he announces her name, but it's Thursday and no news. I always thought Friday was a "news dump" day (although his pick will be enduring news, of course).

Who can enlighten me? Does it not really matter?
