Mad_Machine76's JournalI remember them going out of business
I was never clear as to why. This article helped. Thanks!
Did anybody else think it was odd
That Wilson reportedly told GS that there was "no way Brown had his hands up"?Seems to me like sort of an odd way to put it. He was there and would be able unequivocally say if they were or not, right?
Another thing too
for scared, frightened conservatives is that it should be in the interest of public safety that immigrants are able to come "out of the shadows" so that we know who they are and better determine which ones are risks to society and such.
I'm speechless
Seems like a simple enough concept
But pissing, moaning, and threatening is so much more fun for them and their supporters.
I don't see anybody else running
If she does. However, anybody else is still certainly entitled to do so if they want and I will support whoever wins.
Not only did they celebrate it
They psychotically blamed PBO for starting/prolonging the shutdown (despite the Republican-controlled House refusing to submit a "clean" budget and changing the rules to make a vote for a "clean" budget almost impossible) and are, even now, pre-emptively blaming PBO for a shutdown that some members of Congress are clamoring for.
Thanks for your concern
The Repubs have been stringing PBO along for 6 years now and have yet to demonstrate that they are serious about actually working with him to do anything. I've defended PBO in the past about his efforts to work with Republicans since he was elected and expressed concern about using executive orders over pushing for more secure and long-lasting congressional legislation but, at this point, I have little or no reason to believe that Republicans are interested in working with PBO on anything and that PBO can't "poison the well" any more than it's already been poisoned by constant Republican obstructionism. If he has to resort to executive actions to get a few good things done, then I support him in doing provided it is within the confines of the law, which this proposed action appears to be. Republicans are certainly going to be upset about it, chiefly because PBO will have achieved something over their rampant obstructionism and not for any other reason. If they were truly interested in working with PBO on immigration, they'd already be doing some meetings and coming up with a plan to get something through the House and/or the next Congress- but there is, as yet, no evidence that this is occurring (or will, regardless of Obama's actions).
