The GOP Is Not a Majority Party

The GOP is a mainly white party and will become less relevant as current demographic trends make the US a more diverse country. Stephen Miller has been focused on stopping immigration and trying to slow down the process but the facts are clear https://politicalwire.com/2020/08/22/the-gop-is-not-a-majority-party/

Harry Enten: “If President Trump, in fact, loses the popular vote in 2020, it will be the first time since the founding of the Democratic Party in 1828 that either the Democratic or Republican Party has lost the popular vote this many times in a span of eight elections…”

“Pretty much none of the nonpartisan analysts I know expect Trump to win the popular vote. Today, former Vice President Joe Biden leads the national polls by somewhere around 8 to 10 points nationally. A high number of Trump’s paths to a second term revolve around him pulling off a win in the electoral college, while losing the popular vote, just as he did in 2016.”

“A loss by Trump this year would mean the Republicans have lost the popular vote 7 out of the last 8 elections since 1992.”

Texas GOP has become the party of Q-ANON-We are the Storm

Allen West is an idiot and now the Texas GOP is using a Q-ANON slogan

Shortly after Allen West took over as the Texas GOP chair last month, he gave the party a new slogan — "We are the storm" — and plastered it everywhere: fundraising emails, social media accounts, even on T-shirts and hats for sale.

West, a former Florida congressman, indicated he drew inspiration for the slogan from an unattributed quote that he likes: "The devil whispers to the warrior slyly can it withstand the coming storm. The warrior responds, 'I am the storm.'" Others, however, saw something more nefarious: a dog whistle to the QAnon conspiracy movement — the one that President Donald Trump notably declined to denounce Wednesday, saying he did not know much about it while also speaking favorably of its followers.....

The QAnon movement adheres to an unfounded theory that a mysterious government official named "Q" is exposing a plot against Trump by "deep-state" actors involving satanism and child sex trafficking. Some believers have been accused of plotting or carrying out violent crimes, including killing a New York mob boss. In April, an Illinois woman was arrested after she traveled to New York with illegal knives and wrote on Facebook that Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden need to be "taken out."....

The concept of "the storm" is a significant part of QAnon vernacular, said Mark Fenster, a law professor at the University of Florida who studies conspiracy theories....

"The Republican Party is being led by an internet cult that believes in dangerous, extreme far-right conspiracy theories," party spokesperson Abhi Rahman said in a statement. "West can try to deny it’s connection, but it’s there in plain sight for everybody to see.".

Kanye West's Campaign Unraveling

Jared is not boing to be happy https://politicalwire.com/2020/08/22/kanye-wests-campaign-unraveling/

New York Magazine: “In a span of two days, West was booted from the ballot in five states: Illinois, Montana, Ohio, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. In Illinois, Montana, and West Virginia, it was because he filed an insufficient number of valid signatures. In Wisconsin, it was because West did not file on time. In Ohio, the information and signature on West’s nominating petition and his statement of candidacy did not match those on petitions circulated to be signed.”

“West has filed in several other states in this week: Louisiana, Minnesota, Tennessee, and Virginia, but it is unclear if he will ultimately qualify to appear on the ballot in all of them. West may face particular issues in Virginia, where seven of the thirteen electors that West submitted told Intelligencer they were either unaware that they signed up to cast electoral votes on his behalf, or that they had signed notarized paperwork connected to the rapper’s presidential bid at all.”

Trump Has Already Spent $1 Billion on His Re-Election

Brad Parscale and company have made a ton of money off this scam https://politicalwire.com/2020/08/21/trump-has-already-spent-1-billion-on-his-re-election/

“President Trump’s campaign, the Republican Party and two affiliated committees, have spent more than $1 billion since 2017, a record-breaking sum spent toward a reelection effort at this point in the presidential campaign,” the Washington Post reports.

“Trump has raised and spent money for his reelection since 2017, earlier in his term than previous presidents. At this point in 2012, former president Barack Obama’s reelection effort, including the Democratic National Committee, had spent about $643 million, federal records show.”
