Republicans far more likely than Democrats to say fact-checkers tend to favor one side

We are evidently living in alternative realities where Democrats believe in facts and reality and republicans/trump supporters do not believe in facts or reality https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2019/06/27/republicans-far-more-likely-than-democrats-to-say-fact-checkers-tend-to-favor-one-side/

As fact-checking organizations are increasingly being tapped to fight against misinformation, Republicans appear to have serious concerns about the fairness of these groups. Democrats, on the other hand, mostly think they are fair to all sides.

Overall, Americans are split in their views of fact-checkers: Half say fact-checking efforts by news outlets and other organizations tend to deal fairly with all sides, while about the same portion (48%) say they tend to favor one side, according to a Pew Research Center survey conducted Feb. 19 to March 4, 2019.

But members of the two parties do not see eye-to-eye on this question. Seven-in-ten Republicans say fact-checkers tend to favor one side, compared with roughly three-in-ten Democrats (29%) – a 41 percentage point difference. Conversely, most Democrats (69%) say fact-checkers deal fairly with all sides, a view shared by just 28% of Republicans. Independents are more split, with 47% saying fact-checkers tend to favor one side and 51% saying they deal fairly with all sides – though independents who lean toward the Democratic Party and those who lean toward the Republican Party diverge sharply (65% vs. 37% say fact-checkers deal fairly with all sides, respectively).

I personally like living in the real world and I am amused by the idiots/republicans who do not believe in facts or reality. S. Colbert has a good explanation

Luckovich-trump autographing a sad and sickening picture

The image of the deceased father and child sickens me. These images have to be used against trump and this cartoon is a good attempt to do this.

I have no doubt that trump does not care about these victims and we have to use all tools to make trump pay for this depravity

Washington Post- Opinions -Is Biden getting the Hillary Clinton treatment?

I will never forgive the NYT for the job that they did on Clinton in 2016. I have a Washington Post subscription and I will never subscribe to the NYT. Here history is repeating itself

A leading national newspaper treats the eventual Democratic presidential nominee far more harshly than it does other Democrats and dwells ad nauseam on issues far less serious than those adversely affecting the Republican. The Democratic nominee is subjected to one negative story after another, often without advancing prior stories. That’s how many Democrats felt the New York Times covered Hillary Clinton.

Numerous Democratic commentators have publicly criticized, both during the 2016 campaign and subsequently, what they perceived as the Times’s unbalanced coverage that allowed then-candidate Donald Trump to escape scrutiny for many issues that were far more serious than Clinton’s. Even the Times admitted in December 2016, “Every major publication, including The Times, published multiple stories citing the D.N.C. and Podesta emails posted by WikiLeaks, becoming a de facto instrument of Russian intelligence.”....

Unfortunately for former vice president Joe Biden, history may be repeating itself.

A case in point is a New York Times front-page article with the catchy Web headline “'Lock the S.O.B.s Up’: Joe Biden and the Era of Mass Incarceration.” It has been widely reported that Biden’s authorship of anti-crime legislation in the 1990s poses a problem with some Democratic voters, especially African Americans, in an era of criminal-justice reform. He has also taken a hit for speaking about the atmosphere of “civility” that allowed him to work with rabid segregationists. That’s an entirely legitimate topic of discussion.

The NYT did its best to elect trump and succeeded. I fear that we will see history repeat itself
