It probably went something like this:

What Would Happen if a Democratic Senator Voted Against Conviction

I have a co-worker who wants Trump to remain in office because he is less dangerous than Mike Pence.

He hates Trump as much as I do, but would rather a wounded and disgraced Trump in office than see a Pence presidency.

However, I told him that the Republicans would also like Pence instead of Trump, especially if the House votes to impeach.

Our conjecture goes like this: I believe that no Democrat can vote against conviction in the Senate and survive a Democratic primary. Let's say there are 65 votes for conviction and 35 against. Of the 35 against, 2 are Democrats. What do you think the reaction would be to those two Senators by the Democratic base?

Sarah Huckabee Ziegler

Ron Ziegler was the most abused Press Secretary in American History.

Sarah is running a close second.

Advice to Paul Manafort: Keep the Porch Light On and the Door Unlocked, it's Still Dark at 5:00 AM

You can sleep in your clothes tonight, if you want to save some time.

Shower before going to bed, you may not have time in the morning.

Watch your head getting into the car tomorrow.

Monday, Monday:

Monday, Monday, so good to me. Monday Morning, it was all I'd hoped it would be.

Let's hope those words are accurate.

My Case Against Term Limits

Those who believe that seeking term limits leads to better government certainly have their point. I believe the opposite. I believe that term limits result in worse government and deprives me of my right of choosing the most qualified person for an elected position.

(1). Every office is already term limited. 2 Years for a Congressman, 6 Years for a Senator and 4 Years for a President. The constitution already term limits the President and some states term limit other offices, including Congress, but essentially, terms have definite ending points and the person has to resubmit to the voters, or retire.

(2). Term limits deny me of my choice of an elected official to represent me. You see, I think experience matters and I know how to vote based on an incumbent's record in office. Why should I lose a Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren, only to have a chance of more Ray Moore's in the U.S. Senate? Term limits tell me I'm not smart enough to remove a poorly performing elected official.

(3). Pitch until you get it wrong. In a "wave" election, such as 2010, Tea Baggers would have taken control of Congress if it wasn't for incumbents from both parties. If we change Congressmen every 4 or 6 years, eventually, we'll get an untested moron. I trust my judgement more when I can evaluate a political record.

(4). We have term limits for President. It resulted in the worse piece of shit, moron, fucking asshole, idiot, thief, con-man, liar who ever held public office at any level, controlling the entire Executive Branch of our Government. Our whole Democracy is at risk. I certainly would have preferred an Obama third term.

The difference between the "Dossier" and the Trump collussion.

I'm big on analogies in situations like this. Naturally, the biggest difference between the Dossier and the Collusion is that, in Trump's case, it involves a hostile foreign power. But it goes beyond that. One action (the Democrats) is legal, the other (Trump's) is illegal.

By trying to gather information that was knowingly obtained illegally, the gathering of that information is, in and of itself, illegal.

Here's the analogy.

Let's look at candidate (A). He has an opponent (Candidate B) who went to school in England. Let's say Oxford. Candidate (A) hears rumors that Candidate (B) sold drugs while at college there in order to finance his tuition. Candidate (A) hires a private investigator (probably retired Scotland Yard detective). The PI tries to dig out that information by interviewing former classmates of Candidate (B), professors at the school, bar tenders where he hung out, ex-girlfriends and associates at the time. The PI gives the report to candidate (A). All perfectly legal.

Candidate (B) wants information on Candidate (A), as this has devolved into a very nasty campaign. Candidate (B) hires a firm that hacks into Candidate (A)'s email account to find out that he's having an affair outside his marriage. Candidate (B) knows of this hack. The emails are made public. Hacking someone's email account is illegal.

Candidate (A) has broken no laws, Candidate (B) is guilty of a crime.

Fox News Poll Describes Trump Numbers Tanking

<snip>Was it the tweet storms or the hurricanes? Something hit President Trump’s numbers. His personal ratings have deteriorated and his job approval has hit a low.

Thirty-eight percent of voters approve of the job Trump is doing in a new Fox News poll, down from 42 percent last month. At the same time, disapproval is up 4 points to a high of 57 percent. That includes 49 percent who “strongly” disapprove.

Meanwhile, 60 percent disapprove of how Trump’s handling health care. One third approves (33 percent). At a net negative 27, that makes health care his worst issue rating. He performs better -- but is still underwater -- on North Korea (-24 points), Iran (-21), taxes (-14), and the economy (-5).

In addition, a record 54 percent of voters have a favorable opinion of ObamaCare. Forty-two percent view it negatively.

Voters like their past presidents more than their current one: 63 percent have a favorable opinion of Obama, and 59 percent view George W. Bush positively.<snip>

Do Flake, Corker and McCain really want to show courage? Here's how

Senators Jeff Flake (R-Arizona), Bob Corker (R-Tennessee) and John McCain (R-Arizona) have a really great opportunity to really cause a sea change in the Senate for the remainder of this year and all of next.

Each Senator should hand in a letter stating that they have changed their party affiliation from Republican to Independent. Then, each let's the leadership know that they will be caucusing with the Democrats.

This will result in a 51 to 49 split in favor of the Democrats and everything changes. They can keep their current chairmanships, but all others change. Schumer now calls the shots on what legislation reaches the floor and who will chair all the investigations.

You 3 guys really want to show me that you want to save the country, we need more than words. Do this, together, and now you've shown me something.
