In 2019, Costco opened a $450 million poultry processing plant in Nebraska to produce millions of its staple $4.99 Kirkland Signature rotisserie chickens.

It was a rare step for a retail company to take but a sign of just how valuable rotisserie chickens are to Costco's business. The company has sold them at $4.99 for more than a decade, lower than most rivals, and uses them as loss leaders to draw customers into stores. Costco (COST) sold 106 million of the cooked birds last year.
But Costco now faces a lawsuit from two shareholders claiming that the company and its top executives violated animal welfare laws and, in the process, broke their fiduciary duties. The lawsuit calls into question the lengths Costco has gone to keep its key item cheap.

has been non existent for a while. How do you handle it?? I’m a horrible wife. I yell, I swear, I say stuff and I can’t handle what I’m going through. I’m trying to be an adult, it’s not working. His mind doesn’t really comprehend what he’s even going through. He doesn’t get it. I don’t know what to do. He sleeps a lot, he tires out after making breakfast, he just isn’t what he was. I don’t know what to do. I cry all the time. I was supposed to get a total knee replacement Aug 3rd…..he was supposed to be my driver to all my appointments, he can’t drive now. Dr at urgent care told him he couldn’t drive anymore because he couldn’t say who the President is, what state he lives in, what his SS# is, or what his birthdate is. We went to urgent care because he was so constipated, they did tests, and all the questions they asked him they decided he couldn’t drive anymore, he had to take myralax to clear out his bowel. They did a EKG, an X-ray of his bowel, drew blood and did an MRI of his head. We were there for 5 HOURS. I don’t know what to do. He doesn’t remember stuff from 10 minutes ago. I just don’t know what to do anymore. I need mental help. I need help to handle him, it isn’t his fault, it’s his brain and I don’t know how to handle him now, he’s sooooooooo different now, and I’m damn near ready to give up.
