I will vote for the Democratic Nominee, but all these attacks on candidates are getting you nowhere.

I don't know who you think you are going to persuade with viciousness against those who don't agree with you or the candidate you don't support but that sort of bullshit is usually left for the right wing to use.

The Democratic candidates have tried to show civility in their exchanges but the supporters are rabid and will attack at every opportunity and then some.

Keep it up and neither candidate will be worth voting for, then what?

Elder Bush Says His Son Was Served Badly by Aides

WASHINGTON — After years of holding back, former President George Bush has finally broken his public silence about some of the key figures in his son’s administration, issuing scathing critiques of Vice President Dick Cheney and Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld.

In interviews with his biographer, Mr. Bush said that Mr. Cheney had built “his own empire” and asserted too much “hard-line” influence within George W. Bush’s White House in pushing for the use of force around the world. Mr. Rumsfeld, the elder Mr. Bush said, was an “arrogant fellow” who could not see how others thought and “served the president badly.”

Mr. Bush’s sharp assessments, contained in a biography by Jon Meacham to be published by Random House next week, gave voice to sentiments that many long suspected he had harbored but kept private until now. While he continued to praise his son, he did tell Mr. Meacham that the younger Mr. Bush was responsible for empowering Mr. Cheney and Mr. Rumsfeld and was at times too bellicose in his language.

“I do worry about some of the rhetoric that was out there — some of it his, maybe, and some of it the people around him,” Mr. Bush told Mr. Meacham. “Hot rhetoric is pretty easy to get headlines, but it doesn’t necessarily solve the diplomatic problem.”

If he was that gullible, he should have never been in the office.

Obama Mocks Republican Presidential Candidates' Complaints Over CNBC Debate

With Republican candidates still in an uproar over last week's dismal CNBC debate, President Obama on Monday found the perfect opportunity to skewer their ongoing complaints while at the same time challenging the GOP candidates' self-proclaimed strengths concerning their toughness in foreign affairs.

"Every one of these candidates says, 'Obama's weak, Putin's kicking sand in his face. When I talk to Putin, he's going to straighten out,'" Obama told a crowd at a Democratic fundraising event in New York. "And then it turns out they can't handle a bunch of CNBC moderators."

"If you can't handle those guys, I don't think the Chinese and the Russians are going to be too worried about you."

The president's zinger followed a performance of the critically acclaimed musical Hamilton, an Obama favorite, which was the setting for Monday's fundraiser.

As for the latest on where GOP presidential hopefuls stand regarding future debates, Donald Trump's camp announced yesterday he's decided to negotiate with networks directly, distancing himself from the rest of the group and their list of demands.

Texas Homeschoolers: We Shouldn’t Have To Educate Our Kids If They’ll Be Raptured Soon Anyways

The parents of nine Texas children are suing the state over the fact that they were asked to educate their children in subjects like math and spelling and not just church hymns and theology. Their argument: Why waste our time on education, when the second coming of Jesus Christ is upon us.

Like many homeschoolers, the McIntyre family in El Paso was given wide latitude in their children’s education. They had almost no oversight from educators. They were never required to follow a curriculum or have their children take standardized tests like children in public (and most private) schools do. The results weren’t pretty: The children learned almost nothing they couldn’t learn in Sunday school.

Even when one of the children tried to flee, the ignorance made escaping the situation difficult. The family’s 17-year-old daughter ran away from home after years of social and educational neglect. The state found a public school to place her in, but while her peers were starting their senior year, she was sent to 9th grade, where educators worried she would struggle to keep up.
