Woman Killed by "Homemade Cannon"
Homicide investigators with the San Diego County Sheriff's Department are on the scene of a bizarre death in San Diego's East County.
Deputies say a man called 911 to report his wife may have been killed with a homemade cannon by accident.
Investigators along with U.S. Border Patrol agents responded to Potrero Valley Road around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Two men were working on the cannon outside the home in the Twin Lakes Resort mobile home park when it fired, sending a projectile into the home.

U.S. A Net Gas Exporter For First Time In Decades - NPR
NPR:
The U.S. has become a net exporter of gasoline for the first time in fifty years. Thanks to rising production at refineries and declining demand, the United States exported more gasoline than it imported in December. The unusual development reflects the segmented U.S. energy market the East Coast needs to import gas while the Midwest produces a surplus.

Limbaugh's little bomb threat a publicity stunt?
And why did he call the police? That is a socialist, government agency.

GM May Spend $500M On Employee Bonuses
DETROIT (AP) General Motors is likely to spend more than $500 million on employee bonuses and profit-sharing based on the company's performance last year.
GM, which made a record profit in 2011, will pay bonuses of at least $182 million to white-collar workers such as engineers, car designers and managers on Wednesday, according to a formula obtained by The Associated Press. That's on top of $332.5 million in profit-sharing it already agreed to pay factory workers.
In the past, such payments have drawn criticism from those who believe the government shouldn't have bailed out GM and Chrysler. But GM, which made a record $7.6 billion last year, says the payments are needed to hold on to skilled employees. It's also keeping fixed costs down by giving bonuses instead of annual pay raises.
The bonuses will go to most of the company's 26,000 salaried employees, many of whom make more than $100,000 a year. The bonuses will range from 8 percent of base pay to 14 percent, according to the formula.

The up-side: This is more evidence of the success of the economy and the Presidents bail out.
The down-side: This is only for white collar workers, not the rank and file labor employees. (that is a shame).
