Carson Threatens to Leave Party If GOP Officials Keep Plotting Over Convention

If Republican party bosses continue meeting to discuss how to derail Donald Trump at the convention, Trump won't be the only one to turn his back on the GOP. Now, retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson says he'll leave too.

"If this was the beginning of the plan to subvert the will of the voters and replace them with the will of the political elite, I assure you Donald Trump will not be the only one leaving the party," Carson said in reference to a private dinner attended in Washington by 20 party officials including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and RNC Chairman Reince Priebus.

According to the report in the Washington Post, Republican leaders are preparing now for what to do if they get to the convention in July and Trump is still holding on to a major chunk of the primary vote, but has not become the clear nominee. The topic of the dinner was peculiar as Trump has been the clear frontrunner in the GOP primary for nearly five months.

"I pray that the report in the Post this morning was incorrect. If it is correct," Carson said. "If it is correct, every voter who is standing for change must know they are being betrayed. I won't stand for it," Carson said.

Fox News Suspends 2 Contributors After ‘Inappropriate’ Comments Against Barack Obama

Fox News contributors Ralph Peters and Stacey Dash are prohibited from network appearances for two weeks after “inappropriate and unacceptable” comments about President Barack Obama, a Fox official said.

During a December 7 appearance on Fox Business, Fox News strategic analyst Ralph Peters said of President Obama after his Oval Office address last night: “I mean this guy is such a total pussy, it’s stunning.” Host Stuart Varney told Peters he can’t “use language like that on the program,” and Peters replied that he was sorry.

While co-hosting Outnumbered, contributor Stacey Dash reacted to Obama’s remarks by stating: “I felt like he could give a shit — excuse me, like he could care less.”

CNN’s Brian Stelter reported today that the two commentators “were suspended on Monday for using profanities while criticizing President Obama on Monday”:

“Earlier today, Fox contributors Lt. Col. Ralph Peters and Stacey Dash made comments on different programs that were completely inappropriate and unacceptable for our air,” Fox senior executive vice president Bill Shine said.

“Fox Business Network and Fox News Channel do not condone the use of such language, and have suspended both Peters and Dash for two weeks,” he said.

Successful screen writer Craig Mazin attended Princeton and was actually roommates with good ‘ole Teddy. At their first meeting, Mazin noted Cruz was carrying a book titled Was Karl Marx a Satanist?

Another former schoolmate, Erik Leitch noted Cruz was someone who loved to argue just for the sake of arguing.

ISIS Cutting Back as U.S.-Led Coalition Strikes Degrade Group's Oil Trade

The U.S.-led coalition’s air strike campaign against the Islamic State militant group (ISIS) in Iraq and Syria is successfully damaging the group’s oil refining capabilities, forcing it to cut costs in the face of an ever-growing military operation, according to a report released on Monday.

The air campaign against the group , launched by Washington in August last year, has seen France and Britain join the bombing raids in Syria in recent months bringing the total number of coalition partners to thirteen. The strikes have “significantly degraded” ISIS’s ability to refine oil in their so-called caliphate and “to transport oil via tanker convoys,” said a new report by international defense consultancy IHS Janes.

“According to information gathered from Arabic-language social media, and our in country source network, efforts to target the Islamic State’s sources of revenue are paying off,” Columb Strack, senior analyst at IHS said.
