Joe Biden is in the house

Just saw him on PBS.

My face is covered by tears. Michelle!!!

I am Speechless!

This is high art.

I am in awe of what is happening tonight. Some observations...

The Democrats are bringing the battle directly to the Republicans. Normally, you do not mention your opponent at these affairs. But not only has the DNC put forth their vision, but they brought the battle to the Republicans in explicit terms.

Some highlights tonight...

The passion, especially the Congressional women. Whoa! Don't piss them off. Unfortunately, that's what the Republican Congress did. Their fail; our gain.

The soft spoken. I give you Harry "Golden Gloves" Reid and Jimmie Carter. Even they took the battle on -- but sotta voce. Gotta love it.

Again! This is high art.

Listening to the keynote now. This is devastating to the Republicans. They've set out their case and the Dems are disembowelling them.

And this is only the first night.

My favorite, but I am biased, is the speech that brought tears to Joe Biden, and to me. Tammy Duckworth. While the Republicans totally ignored the military in their convention, I wouldn't want any other person in the world to rebut that than Tammy. As a Lt. Col. she earned it. But that is not what it is about. Her courage and her love of her country when all was crashing down upon her is the measure of a person. Many would sit down and say that they've done enough. Not Tammy Duckworth.

Go to her Wikipedia page here: Tammy Duckworth and learn her incredible story.

People talk about future presidents here all the time. I'd put my money on Tammy.

The Dems bring the battle to the GOP! Raise a glass, DUers!

Sköl DUers!

Mine is a Martini (w/o olives, fridge is on the fritz).

This is awesome. They are calling the Republicans, and especially Mitt, out.

And now, here comes Tammy Duckworth!

"Monk" is in the house. Just saw Tony Shalhoub in the crowd.

Love the PBS coverage.

Thought I saw Richard Dreyfuss earlier.

Here we go. Yet another cultural difference.

LGBT rights are important.

"Where are the women!?"

Wow! Fucking WOW!

This is devastating!

These women are tearing things apart.

PBS just broke away for Jesse Jackson.

I wish they'd just Let this take down continue.

Harry Reid!!!!!!! Yesssss!!!!

Soft spoken. But he's giving the Republicans Hell!!'

Screw Clint. I have a better Hollywood surrogate.

Steve Buscemi!

"Guess what guys! It's time to embrace the horror!"

Perfect! Don't you think?

I wish Anonymous had hacked the background displays for Rmoney's speech.

With all of those wonderful DU background photoshop jobs.

What would the RNC have done with all the network cameras grinding away?

Damn! It is something devoutly to be wished.

on edit: There's nothing they could have done about it. It was real time.
