RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. — The co-founder of the “Salt Life” brand was arrested after a teen was found dead in a South Florida hotel room, investigators said.

Michael Troy Hutto, 54, was suffering a medical emergency Friday in Jacksonville and was taken to a hospital for treatment, WJAX reported.

While at the hospital, Riviera Beach detectives met Hutto, who is a suspect in the death of Lora Grace Duncan, a Lake City teen who was found fatally shot Thursday in a hotel room at the Hilton Singer Island Oceanfront/Palm Beaches Resort, WJAX reported.

Hutto was released from the hospital and taken into custody by investigators. He was arrested and charged with manslaughter and possession of a firearm, according to Palm Beach County jail records.

State Attorney Katherine Fernandez-Rundle says her office is working with Miami-Dade Dept. of Elections and the United States Postal Inspector's Office to make sure all ballots are accounted for.

"I further understand that administrative action was taken by the Office of the Attorney General regarding the employee’s negligence at the Princeton distribution center," Fernandez-Rundle said.

State Attorney says her office is closely monitoring the "voter protection hotline." Anyone who suspects improper or irregular activities at early voting sites is urged to call the Hotline at 305-547-3300, she says.

PALM BAY, Fla. – The Brevard County Supervisor of Elections has temporarily closed the Palm Bay Administrative Office after election workers tested positive for coronavirus, officials said Friday.

Supervisor of Elections Lori Scott said the move was made out of an abundance of caution after consultation with the Department of Health. A news release from Scott’s office did not say how many workers tested positive.

Scott said voters did not have direct exposure with those who tested positive for COVID-19 because of safety measure at the polling place, including half-inch ballistic glass between workers and voters.
