Tweety steps in shit

““Who’s going to watch a debate between the two Cuban guys?” “Who’s gonna watch a debate between Rubio, Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz? Who cares?”

With the news that Donald Trump would be bowing out of Thursday night's Fox News debate, MSNBC's Chris Matthews seemed dubious at best over the network's ratings without Trump.

“Who’s going to watch a debate between the two Cuban guys?" he asked during Tuesday night's episode of "Hardball." "Who’s gonna watch a debate between Rubio, Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz? Who cares?”

If Sarah Palin is your big catch, I question the size of your pole

...............

If you are thinking about voting for a Rebublican this year, you might want to consider that the party’s front runner enthusiastically welcomed her endorsement while the guy in second place happily assumed he had a monopoly on that crazy. I mean if your big catch is Sarah Palin, I have to question the size of your pole and the potency of your bait.

Everyone on the right side of the isle is courting born again Christians as if that second birth gives them a second vote.
Exactly what is it about that second birth that produces so much self righteousness? Sarah promotes abstinence but is yet to have a grandchild born in wedlock. She accuses Obama of being too slow to go to war, but then blames Obama for her military son’s post traumatic stress syndrome. The woman actually has a college degree in communications and yet has no command whatsoever of the English language. And all of this qualifies her to endorse a presidential candidate how?

Here’s a little secret I offer to the Republican Party and its presidential candidates: Sarah Palin is an idiot. Financial conservatism and smaller government might have some merit. But what the hell does any of that have to do with loving war and hating immigrants? Not to mention demeaning women, persecuting gays, suppressing voters and lying about Planned Parenthood… Put all those things together and it quickly becomes clear that your party is so focused on born again Christians that you have forgotten those of us who were born once and got it right the first time.

If the Republican Party lets go of the hate and stops using government to overreach into my vagina, I might actually consider listening to what they have to say about smaller government.

Of course, if Sarah Palin is your spokesperson then you’ve lost me even before the conversation gets started. I mean it. Really.

Trump says he won’t participate in GOP debate on Fox News

GOP Presidential candidate Donald Trump backing out of Fox News' debate is a damning indictment of the creature that the right-wing media helped create and that the rest of the media enabled for far too long.

Not only did Fox News and the rest of the right-wing media manufacture many of the lies that serve as the refrain of Trump's campaign, but they also fomented much of the racial antipathy and sexism that Trump is using to fuel his campaign.

Former Pentagon chief Robert Gates: Republicans’ grasp of national security is at a child’s level

“The level of dialogue on national security issues would embarrass a middle schooler,” Gates said of the Republican contenders at a Politico Playbook event in Washington on Monday . “People are out there making threats and promises that are totally unrealistic, totally unattainable. Either they really believe what they’re saying or they’re cynical and opportunistic and, in a way, you hope it’s the latter because God forbid they actually believe some of the things that they’re saying.”

Donald Trump said he'd kill terrorists' families at a rally. His crowd went wild.

Donald Trump said he'd kill terrorists' families at a rally. His crowd went wild.
By Zack Beauchamp, January 25, 2016

There is a disturbing new anecdote from Donald Trump's presidential campaign in a story by reporter Ryan Lizza, who has a long feature on the Republican primary in the newest issue of the New Yorker.

Lizza followed Trump to an event this December in Mesa, Arizona, where Trump was interviewed by Fox News personality Bill O'Reilly. Shortly before the Mesa event, Trump had pledged to kill the families of suspected terrorists to deter them from attacking America. "When you get these terrorists," Trump said, "you have to take out their families."

O'Reilly, at the event, asked Trump if he was serious. According to Lizza, Trump said yes — and the crowd roared their approval:

Trump’s fans tend to express little regard for political norms. They cheer at his most outlandish statements. O’Reilly asked Trump if he meant it when he said that he would "take out" the family members of terrorists. He didn’t believe that Trump would "put out hits on women and children" if he were elected. Trump replied, "I would do pretty severe stuff." The Mesa crowd erupted in applause. "Yeah, baby!" a man near me yelled. I had never previously been to a political event at which people cheered for the murder of women and children.
