GOP lawmaker's Twitter poll on ObamaCare repeal doesn't go as planned

Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) on Tuesday posted a poll on Twitter to get feedback on Republicans' proposed ObamaCare repeal. As it turns out, though, a majority of Twitter users who voted recommended keeping the healthcare law in place.

While Blackburn might have expected to hear only from her Tennessee district — which handily reelected her in November — she soon found the poll swamped with votes opposed to an ObamaCare repeal.

The poll from Blackburn, a member of President-elect Trump's transition team, received 7,968 votes, with 84 percent opposing a repeal of ObamaCare. The repeal opponents' side was likely helped by a retweet from White House spokesman Eric Schultz.

Rockettes Told to Tolerate Intolerance in Secretly Recorded Meeting With Management

MSG executive chairman James Dolan told the Rockettes they were expected to tolerate intolerance during a meeting about the dance group’s performance at Donald Trump’s inauguration.

Marie Claire obtained audio of the meeting, which was secretly recorded by one of the Rockettes late last month, and reported the women “still seem to largely oppose the decision made on their behalf to enter this particular political fray.”

"I mean, it just sound like you're asking us to be tolerant of intolerance."

Dolan: "YEAH, in a way, I guess we are doing that... What other choices do we have? What else would you suggest?"

Colbert to GOP: 'When Donald Trump Calls You Unethical, That's a Wake-Up Call'

............

"Republicans thought it would be better for Congress to investigate itself... That's like if the kids got together and said, 'Listen, Shana, you've been a great babysitter, but we took a secret vote to send you home. Leave the cigarettes. Bye-bye."

And the controversial move couldn't be further from Trump's proposal to "drain the swamp" and increase transparency in Washington. On Tuesday, the president-elect criticized the plan, causing the House Republicans to immediately pull it.

"Man!"
Colbert exclaimed. "When Donald Trump calls you out for being unethical, that's a wake-up call. That's not good. That's like if Keith Richards told you to moisturize."

Former CIA, Pentagon spokesman: 'We will be less safe' under Trump

George Little, a former CIA and Department of Defense spokesman, said early Wednesday that he thinks the U.S. will be "less safe" under President-elect Donald Trump once he is sworn into office.

Little tweeted his thoughts shortly after Trump sided with Wikileaks founder Julian Assange, who said that Russia was not the source of stolen information from Democratic Party organizations. U.S. intelligence agencies have blamed the hacks on the Kremlin.

“Julian Assange said 'a 14 year old could have hacked Podesta’ - why was DNC so careless? Also said Russians did not give him the info!” Trump wrote on Twitter, referring to Hillary Clinton's campaign chairman, John Podesta, and the Democratic National Committee.

Little hit back, saying, "Let's stare this reality square in the face: PEOTUS is pro-Putin and believes Julian Assange over the @CIA. On Jan. 20 we will be less safe."

Little also tweeted Tuesday night after Trump criticized intelligence communities for pushing back an intelligence briefing, though some reports have said it was always scheduled for Friday.

No PEOTUS in our history has ever mocked his own intelligence community so openly or so often.

Maybe if Trump weren't relying on carrier pigeons to keep his schedule-he would have gotten it right

Report: Trump's 'delayed' intelligence meeting was always scheduled for Friday

Trump tweeted Tuesday night that a planned intelligence briefing on Russian hacking, previously expected to take place early this week, was pushed back to Friday.

The president-elect insinuated that the meeting was delayed because intelligence agencies don't have enough evidence to prove Russia's involvement.

"The 'Intelligence' briefing on so-called 'Russian hacking' was delayed until Friday, perhaps more time needed to build a case. Very strange!" Trump tweeted.

A senior U.S. intelligence official told NBC News the briefing was "always" scheduled for Friday and that Trump was incorrect.
