Yes, it's probably clinical depression coming back. I almost never cry. It's not that I'm opposed to crying, but that external (and internal) events never get me to that point. Also, blame typical macho male programming in the American south.

It CAN happen again. It CAN happen in this country. Did anyone really think Trump would get elected, the asshole/racist/sexist/neo-nazi lover he is ? If the overton window does not get shifted to the left, we're sliding slowly towards it.
The first camps would be for Muslims. Then anyone to the left of Hitler, labor unions, and entire gamut of Nazi untermenschen.

When Trump is FINALLY gone, what percentage of his voters will be ashamed?
Of course we know the really hard core racists aka KKK and neo-Nazis will always love him. How about the rest? I would hope the percentage is close to over 50%, if not much higher. I suppose if you're racist enough to vote for Trump despite all the evidence, you might not be ashamed? I rarely talk to Republicans, so I don't any clue to an answer.

1. The matter-of-fact way he states, “Today was not a good learning day.” Which, in this context, is the equivalent of starting a sentence with, “But I just think it’s kinda funny that ... ”
2. “I only wanted to hear you not talking” is probably the best burn I’ve heard since Morgan Freeman’s character in Glory called Denzel a “smart-mouthed, stupid-ass, swamp-runnin’ nigga.” It also doubles as the single best response to white tears ever.
3. “You said something wrong and I can’t listen when I hear lies” is totally going to be my reply the next time Tucker Carlson invites me on his show.
4. The fact that the kid was astute (and funny) enough to say, “The only Christopher we acknowledge is Wallace,” and say it in the right context. Some people wait their entire lives for the perfect storm of the perfect pop-culture-reference burn, and this kid got one at 9 (?). I’m jealous.
