I've seen them for a long time. I really don't know the answer to this question, since I'm not well-versed enough in either US or Roman history. Thanks.
Congo army battles M23 rebels near eastern city of Goma

The violence, the most serious in months, is the first major test for the newly deployed U.N. Intervention Brigade which has an unprecedented mandate to launch military operations against M23, one of the rebels at the heart of nearly two decades of conflict.
A senior officer with the brigade told Reuters that U.N. peacekeepers were "assisting" the Congolese army in operations against M23 rebels late on Monday.
"We are supporting the army in their operations but have not ourselves engaged the rebels at this stage," the officer said by telephone from Goma, requesting not to be identified.

DU is still running slow too many times to me
It's possible it's my ISP or some internet router etc. I really don't think it's my browser, NIC card, cables, router, or cable modem.
I have no problems whatsoever with any other site on the internet. None.
I don't mean to be a nag, but it does get annoying to have to stop fetches many times a day and redo them.

I think that some of you are well aware that the discussions about chicken are not about chicken at all. The purpose of these threads is to dig up an old flame war and wave it in the faces of certain people, because you want to get under their skin. To their credit, those people have not taken the bait. But we really think that a dozen threads on a topic specifically intended to bait people is really enough.
But now we are in a completely idiotic death-spiral of enforcement and boundaries-testing. The mods lock a thread, and then three spring up. And so the purpose of starting threads about chicken is no longer about tweaking a few of your fellow DUers, it's now about tweaking the moderators.
And then I get incredulous emails from people who are shocked, shocked that discussion of chicken -- chicken fercryinoutloud -- is not allowed. As if the discussion of chicken is something that is vitally important and that everyone is really interested in.
So please, if you really need to discuss chicken, do it in one of the threads that is already open on the subject. But please stop posting new threads about chicken or turkey or whatever. I know it's really fun to tweak people, especially when those people are the moderators, but I think it's time to find to something else fun to do.

eta: Until I can find it, the original flamewar had something to do with the OMFG PERFECT WAY TO PREPARE CHICKEN. Cornflakes breading ? It was an extremely contentious thread in the Lounge that had to be locked eventually.
