I live in the South, and I've almost learned not to speak ill of anyone.

I've religiously watched Jon Stewart's replacement Trevor Noah and I just can't get over him being just 31 years old albeit adorable/handsome/dimpled/smart and working hard at filling a tough job.

When I'm awake long enough to see Seth Myers, then I know to whom I would like to give the job.

As Tweety says:
Your thoughts?

In Serious Gaffe, Sanders Treats Opponent with Dignity and Respect: Borowitz was watching

LAS VEGAS (The Borowitz Report)—In a major slip that may prove fatal to his Presidential ambitions, Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont treated his principal opponent for the Democratic nomination with dignity and respect on Tuesday night.

Calling it a gaffe of historic proportions, many political insiders were still scratching their heads Wednesday morning over Sanders’s bizarre decision to act toward his opponent as if she were a fellow human being.

“I chalk it up to pressure,” the political strategist Harland Dorrinson said. “Sanders has never been on such a big stage before, and in the heat of the moment he cracked and behaved with nobility.”
“It was one of those moments where everyone in politics was like, ‘What was he thinking?’ ” Dorrinson added.

Carol Foyler, a veteran political operative, said that Sanders has one more debate, “at the most,” to prove that his respect gaffe was just that—a regrettable but forgivable slip of the tongue, not to be repeated.

“Bernie Sanders’s behavior towards Hillary Clinton Tuesday night has raised some grave questions about him in voters’ minds,” Foyler said. “If he treats people with decency and civility now, what kind of President would he be?”

Ben Carson: Pompeii Victims Should Have Outrun Lava - facepalm worthy report by Borowitz

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—Citizens of the Roman town of Pompeii who were victims of Mt. Vesuvius’s eruption in 79 A.D. could have survived if they had “just outrun the lava,” the neurosurgeon Ben Carson told Fox News on Wednesday.

“Most of the plaster casts we have of Pompeii victims show them basically just lying down and whatnot,” he said. “If I had been in Pompeii and I heard Mt. Vesuvius erupting, you can bet I would have made a run for it.”

He said another option open to residents of Pompeii would have been “to fight the volcano.”
“Archeologists estimate that the population of Pompeii was about eleven thousand,” he said. “You can’t tell me that if eleven thousand people put their minds to it they couldn’t beat one volcano.”

Carson said he would spend the next week on the campaign trail dispensing helpful tips about how people can defeat earthquakes, tsunamis, and giant asteroids.

WWSMD = What would Solly Mack do?

Poured the last of my bubble bath into the tub, rinsed the glass container, and the bubbles left in it were so pretty I had to channel what Solly would do. Naturally it's not quite as good - but what I'm really saying is she is that she is an inspiration to us.

My furious President

has finally jumped the shark on the issue of gun violence.
Brava Obama. I know he will never revert to being mealy mouthed about it.
He has had it!

May I post a cartoon about food and photography?

Do any of us recognize ourselves in this cartoon? I know I do.

If I ever win a contest again, I may chose as the theme a photo of food that was placed in front of us.
I must admit I have a few in my files.
