Our alternatives for November 2020:
1. Vote Blue No Matter Who (smacks of big turnout - and a Dem win) There is more of us than there are them.
2. Sit Out The Election Because My Favorite Isn't In It (assures a win for Trump)
3. Vote for Trump (4 more years - yech!!!!)
Two of the three alternatives we will have assures a win for Trump. I don't think the American People are that stupid to want another 4 years of Trump.
We really have only one alternative in November and that is to "Vote Blue No Matter Who"
Do you really want to sit this one out? Do you really want to vote for Trump over a Dem nominee that may not be your first choice? Are you willing to risk another 4 years of Trump?
What's The Latest In The Weinstein Trial?.....
Last I heard it went to jury. Any feedback yet? What's the speculation as to what will happen?
The Economy....
I keep hearing that the American People vote their pocket book. I also keep hearing that our economy is doing well and that Trump will be running for re-election on the economy.
I'd like - here on DU - to have or do an analysis of the economy because if we're going to beat Trump we're going to have to poke holes in his boasting about how he is good for the economy and if he is not re-elected how the economy will go south.
We know that is coming - so we might as well be prepared for it. I didn't hear much talk about the economy last night and I'm wondering how we as Dems will counteract Trump's touting of the economy.
So can we list in this thread - the pros and cons of our economy? Is it as strong as has been said it is or is it just being propped up by Trump so he can use it to get re-elected.
If I was to have a discussion with my friends, relatives, neighbors and colleagues - what could I tell them that they should be aware of about the economy and what maybe does the future hold?
How Common Are NDA's Used By The Wealthy?.....
I've heard that Trump used NDA's. I've heard that Roger Ailes used NDA's. Both these guys used them to sweep sexual harrassment charges under the rug.
I know that in business NDA's are used in situations to prevent people from leaking company secrets. I've seen NDA's used between inventors and companies.
What's the story on NDA's and their use?

Suddenly It Makes Sense Why Trump Commuted Blago's Sentence Now.....
he's gonna have Blago campaign for him for re-election.
Blago's outside his house now holding a news conference and he's complemented Trump about 3 or 4 times now.
Blago a Dem says he's now a Trumpocrat. I wonder if this was his quid quo pro for being freed?
The Hypocrisy Of The Repugs Never Fails To Amaze Me ....
Rod Blogojevich's 14 year sentence was commuted today by Trump. Blogo serve 8 years - basically for doing what Trump does everyday.
Blogo is a Dem. His Repug foes in Illinois that impeached him and put him in jail are not happy that Trump let Blago out. Here are some of the comments heard from them when they were interviewed and asked their opinion.
The leader of Illinois’ House Republicans blasted the commutation of former governor Rod Blagojevich’s corruption sentence by President Trump on Tuesday.
“This action distracts and also dilutes what I think is the proper role of the Department of Justice: to root out corruption,” said Rep. Jim Durkin, Illinois’ House Minority Leader. “I don’t agree with this move “very disappointing.” “I was involved firsthand with the impeachment efforts and I saw a governor who was rogue on steroids. “He was a person that didn’t care about the state of Illinois. He cared about his own ambition.
Does this sound familiar? Sounds like Trump - huh? - a person that doesn't care about the United States - he cares about himself.
The Illinois’s Republican congressional delegation criticized Trump’s decision to commute the former Gov's sentence, saying he is “the face of public corruption” in the state.
“We are disappointed by the president’s commutation of this federal sentence. We believe he received an appropriate and fair sentence, which was the low end of the federal sentencing guidelines for the gravity of his public corruption convictions,” wrote Reps. Darin LaHood, John Shimkus, Adam Kinzinger, Rodney Davis and Mike Bost.
They went on to say that “Blagojevich is the face of public corruption in Illinois, and not once has he shown any remorse for his clear and documented record of egregious crimes that undermined the trust placed in him by voters. “As our state continues to grapple with political corruption, we shouldn’t let those who breached the public trust off the hook.”
What was that you say? "We shouldn't let those who breached the public trust off the hook"? Huh?
Are you living under a mushroom patch? Why did you let Trump - who breached public trust and has even done wrose - off the hook?
So the same Party that continually 'circles the wagons around Trump to protect him' and acquitted him in impeachment - says exactly the opposite about Dem Blago whom Trump has surpassed any crimes that Blago may have committed many times over.
The hypocrisy of this Party is just unbelievable.
The fallout, however, is that Blago is now a big fan of Trump. Birds of a feather!!!!
The Dems Need To Do A Political Ad Pointing Out....
all the bad things that could happen if Trump is re-elected. In a 1-minute ad they could fit alot of negativity Trump can bring down on this country if re-elected. They could easily illustrate how Trump could effect the many different voter groups (i.e., seniors, minorities, middle class, millenials, etc).
Whomever our nominee is - I think an ad like this could really be effective.
