I'm thinking that Raskin saying he wants to have a witness - was because of Moscow Mitch saying he's going to vote to acquit.

Tr**p is out on the golf course probably thinking that he would be acquitted today and readying himself to put his mug out there and say he was exonerated.

He thought he was home free today. Vote to acquit and I don't have to defend the undefensible Tr**p. He has nothing and is backpedaling as fast as he can. He"s spooked.

for House Reps and Senators have signed a letter advocating that Tr**p be convicted?
If you've ever done any lobbying in Washington D.C. and walk the halls of the Senate and Congressional Bldgs - you know that it is young adults that essentially run Washington D.C.. These are the employees that work in the offices of Senators and Congressmen/women that handle the day to day happenings and meet with the public and pass on info to the Senator or Congress person.
Very rarely do you get to meet with a Congressman/woman or Senator in person. You mainly meet with their aides.
My understanding is that they put a letter together and had it signed by over 500 of these aides to vote to convict Tr**p.
I hope that they go on strike in the offices of any of the Senators that vote to acquit Tr**p. Who would want to work for someone that supports insurrection.

They are doing everything that they can to discredit the House Managers.
That's all they got - because they have no defense for Tr**p.
My Understanding As To Why The Capitol Police Weren't Well Prepared Was Because....
the event permit didn't include a parade march down to the Capitol Bldg.
It was Tr**p that encouraged the crowd to march down to the Capitol Bldg. He even said he would join them.

It seems to me they aren't speaking to the Senators in the room - they are speaking only to one person - Tr**p.
I'm thinking that Tr**p has laid out the direction as to how he wants his lawyers to present his case.

Loyalty only goes so far when it comes to absolving Tr**p of any blame any culpability.

What Wasn't Said At The Trial About Jan 6th....
Tr**p had at least two people close to him that were on the record for having him declare 'martial law'.
That was Flynn and the My Pillow guy Lindell. Now there were probably more of his inner core that supported
'martial law' - but these two guys were on the record. Each was either quoted or were found out (Lindell's note) that they supported 'martial law'.
Nothing was mentioned about this by the House Managers - but - could that be the reason that Tr**p didn't act fast to put a stop to the ransacking of the Capitol?
Was he hoping that Pence, Pelosi, Schumer or some other House Rep or Senator - would get attacked; injured or killed - so he could declare 'martial law'?
That would have put a stop to the certifying of the electoral votes/election. They wouldn't be able to reconvene that evening to finish the job - like they did. This could have effectively shut down the whole enchilada and Tr**p could have remained in the presidency.
Any thoughts?
We got to get to the bottom of this whole 'insurrection'. The House Managers laid out a very tight case to convict Tr**p - with the material that they used.
But I'm not convinced that we really know the whole story yet. What we do know is already devastating but I'm worried about what we didn't learn as to why there was this attempted coup.
