Can Trump call Executive Priviledge with his conversations with Hannity? We also have heard that Hannity had communications with Manafort. Hannity has in depth knowledge of Trump because of all the communications they've had. Would Hannity use the excuse that he is a journalist and he doesn't reveal his sources?
Just asking this after I heard a report yesterday about Hannity and Manafort communications.
I'm Perplexed About This Pullback On This Iran Strike By Trump & The Reaction To It.....
What do we want? Did we want Trump to strike back for this drone downing? Or did we want cooler heads to prevail? Seems like Bolton, Pompeo and Haspell wanted Trump to retaliate and at the last moment we hear that Trump stopped short of an attack.
I'm thinking that this is good because I don't think we want this to develop into a war. However, I'm hearing some people criticize Trump for being wishy washy on this.
From the beginning of his presidency we've heard people say that we hope that there are some adults in the WH or in his administration that would prevent him from pushing the button. So here we have the button being prevented from being pushed and now we're hearing criticism of Trump as being indecisive.
Seems like the adults in the WH were pushing for this strike instead of talking him out of the strike.
Now I don't want to give Trump points for stopping this attack as I don't know if we really know what was going on behind the scenes. We do know, however, those so-called adults in the WH are Hawks and have always wanted to take down Iran.
I'm relieved that this attack was stopped. I really don't care who or how this attack was averted. But People - we've got to get on the same page on this. Either we're happy that this strike was stopped and Trump was prevented from pushing this country into something that we might regret or we're critical of Trump for being indecisive and looking weak.
I'm not sure I'm expressing what I'm feeling right now - but as everything with Trump - it seems like he's got us (or at least me) confused and bewildered with how this situation has evolved.
Maybe someone else out there in DU land can help me make sense of my feelings on this.

Things seemed to be going well until Trump screwed things up. Now the war drums are beating and it looks like Trump, Bolton, Pompeo and Lindsay are setting us up for a war with Iran.
Is Trump just looking for a distraction from the Mueller Report or is this part of his re-election plan?
I'd Be So Embarrassed To Be Seen At A Trump Rally.....
I'm watching all the hub hub around Trump's rally today and am seeing all the people lining up to attend and listening to the comments that they are making when being interviewed by the MSM. I'm totally blown away at the blinding stupidity of the people that attend these rallies.
First I wouldn't attend such a rally and I can't understand why the people that do attend aren't mortified being seen at such a rally. Truly embarrassing on their part - yet they flaunt their presence.
Don't they realize how the majority of Americans feel about them? Don't they realize that we laugh at them? Don't they realize that they are being characterized as cultists?
In some ways I feel sorry for them. One day they will wake up and realize that they were conned in a big way and they were being taken advantage of. When that realization hits them - they're in for a shock.
What Can We Do?....

If I Was One Of The 101 Newly 2018 Elected Freshman House Members I Would Be Raising Hell.....
because of the blockage/obstruction in the Senate by Mitch McConnell and the Repugs of all the legislation passed by the House since the election.
Why aren't we hearing from them? Why isn't McConnell's blocking of this legislation the topic of each press conference held by Nancy Pelosi? Why isn't AOC taking on Mitch? What about the other 100 new freshmen in the House?
As a House Representative you only get a 2 year term. We're in the middle of their term and all the hard work that they have been doing for the American People that elected them is being held hostage by Mitch McConnell and the Repugs.
In fact, McConnell, the Repugs and Trump are saying that the Dems are not doing anything but investigating the Mueller Report which Mitch is saying is old business. Soon those same 101 new Freshmen Congressional Reps will be having to campaign for their next term and they've let Mitch and the Repugs control the narrative.
I've posted on DU before that the Dems should take every chance they get to tell the American People where the obstruction is occurring. Why don't we hear from these newly elected Representatives? Why aren't they raising hell?
Why doesn't the MSM put a focus on all legislation passed by the House that is being obstructed in the Senate? Why do we keep seeing McConnell lying to the American People on the cable shows? Why isn't the MSM taking Mitch to task on this?
I just don't get it. Why aren't we putting the pressure on Mitch and keeping the pressure on him?

have Mitch McConnell to blame for destroying the Repug Party and losing the Senate, House and Presidency in 2020.
You know that Trump will not take the fall for that and that he always has to have someone to blame.
Mitch seems to be basking in the glory now - but soon - Mitch will be the fall guy for the big loss by Repugs in 2020.
First Fake News - Now Fake Polls......
I don't recall anyone using the term 'fake news' before Donald Trump. It's like he created that term and he has exploited it to his benefit - using both sides of 'fake news'.
He creates 'fake news' by lying and making things up - and - when truthful reporting comes out that is negative to him - he uses the term in reverse - by calling truthful news - 'fake news'.
Now he's taken it to new heights by using the term 'fake polls'. He makes up 'fake polls' by saying that he is leading in the polls all over the country. When the polls are legit and truthful saying that he is losing and behind - he calls them 'fake polls'.
He uses both 'fake news' and 'fake polls' without blinking an eye. He is so polished in his art of conning the electorate - that he comes off 'believable'. Even when he's called out about his 'lying' - he doesn't back down - instead - he doubles down - and expands the lie.
It's bad enough that he's gotten so far in his life - using the art of the con - and benefiting from it - but now he's using this as the so-called 'president' of the free world.
