there is a mass shooting like the one in Michigan?
Here me out - the lawmakers have the means to protect us by passing laws that aim to protect us. They are responsible for their constituents - just like parents are responsible for their children.
When lawmakers refuse to pass such protective laws - aren't they party to any of the mayhem that may occur as a result of their refusal to protect us?
Why can the parents of this Michigan kid be charged with 'involuntary manslaughter' and why shouldn't the lawmakers be charged with 'involuntary manslaughter' as well. Couldn't and issue be made that they were negligent in their duties - because they had the ability to pass laws that would protect?
Just a thought here. I'm trying to think out of the box on this. After listening to this news conference on this school shooting - I'm terribly disturbed. This shooting could have been prevented.
Alec Baldwin Should Just Keep His Mouth Shut....
IMHO I had more sympathy for him when they were saying this shooting was accidental - that somehow a loaded gun was given to him without his knowledge.
Now he's saying he didn't pull the trigger and - I'm sorry - I just don't believe him.
It looks like he's just trying to come up with a lame excuse to make himself look or feel better.
Until People Are Held Accountable For Their Crimes & Misdeeds.....
others will feel embolden and will continue to commit crimes and this country will become more and more like the 'Wild, Wild, West'.
TFG ushered in a mood of entitlement and lawlessness and he led by example.
Look at all the crime he; his family; and his cronies have gotten away with and have never been held accountable for. Others see this and they tell themselves - if they can do this - so can I.
So everything from breaking traffic laws (i.e., speeding, going thru red-lights, driving on shoulders, etc) to shooting and killing people and everything in-between - is fair game.
This includes smash and grab; Gosar & Bobert racial hits; Karen's & Ken's as anti-maskers and anti-vaxxers; insurrectionists; to car jackings; shootings on expressways ; you name it - crimes that aren't being acknowledged by law enforcement nor the judicial system.
It's appearing to many American People that those committing illegal acts have the legal system on their side and that they could actually get away with murder and be rewarded for it.
From TFG - to all sorts of politicians - at all levels to police - to KRit in Kenosha - to speeders on the streets - to gangbangers - to famous stars - to bankers - to the entitled 1%'ers - and everything in-between.
It is the wild, wild west out there. And until we begin to start holding people accountable - this will only get worse.
To many American's it's looking like laws are there to protect the guilty and lawyers are there to help lie for you to get you off and the judges are able to interpret those laws based on their beliefs to the benefit of the lawbreakers.
TFG seems to always be rewarded for his crimes. He's revered for his arrogance and his disdain for the laws. He uses the system to his advantage and gets away with it. Let's just run out the clock. Let's stack the deck to our advantage. Let's commit crimes and then I'll just pardon the crime-doer's. Let's ignore subpoenas. They can't do 'nutin' to us.
Hell - he honored a killer (KRit) at Mar-A-Lago. Congressmen are willing to hire this killer as their intern (reward maybe - huh?).
We need new sheriffs in town. We need to start checking our guns in (metaphorically speaking) like they did in the 'old West'. We need to bring back a lawful society - because right now - it's looking like lawlessness reigns supreme.
And everyday - things seem to be getting worse. The MSM even helps - by giving the crime-doer's excuses. By helping them out with suggestions as to how to skirt the system.
I could go on and on here but I'm gonna stop here because I think you get my point.
I'll say it one more time here though - until we start holding people - ACCOUNTABLE - this will only persist and get worse. I'm really afraid where all this is going.
I really feel sorry for our children and grandchildren and the world we are leaving them.

I was shopping today and waiting in the checkout line when I overheard two masked guys talking about the Omicron variant.
They both were very freaked out by this variant and as they went on talking further - I learned why they were freaked out.
It's because the variant is coming from Africa "and you know the kind of people that are spreading it don't you" - said one to the other. "For that reason and that reason alone - I'm going tomorrow to get vaccinated and I'll be wearing my mask too" - the other guy said.
I surmised that they are freaked out because they feel this variant is spreading from 'black' people (Africans). This is plain racism and was being talked about - out loud - by IMHO two racists right in a checkout line.
I couldn't believe my ears.
Does anyone know if that is what's being talked about on RW and MAGA sites?
Are we going to be seeing vaccination rates going up in the U.S. now?
Is this the latest Qanon conspiracy theory?

Non-Tr**p cultist Repugs and Independents aren't blind. They see what is going on. They watched the 1/6 insurrection and saw the truth. They see what Biden has done with respect to the pandemic; the economy and now the infrastructure bill being passed.
They aren't dummies. They know that if the Dems had more control of the House and the Senate that they would reap the benefits of the Dems platform.

What Do We Know Of The Upbringing Of Kyle Rittenhouse.....
I couldn't find out anything about KRit's birth, parents, where he lived in his early years, schools he went to (i.e., grammer school, high school), friends he hung with, any interviews of some of his classmates, neighbors, etc.
Everything I've read about him was - that he was a high school dropout, plagued by bullies, enamored with the police - most of the info was post shooting and where he got the gun, how he got to Kenosha, etc.
I really couldn't find out anything of his early years - birth to just before the shooting.
Does anyone have his early life bio's?
