Save Yosemite National Park's names from a greedy corporate grab

Here are actions you can take to stop the National Park Servcie from being forced to change historic names of landmarks at Yosemite National Park, such as the Ahwahnee Hotel, Wawona Hotel (both Native American names), Curry Village, Yosemite Lodge and Badger Pass due to a copyright claim by its former concessions company, Delaware North.( http://www.sacbee.com/news/state/article54736110.html).

1. Sign these two petitions at the Petition site asking Delaware to remove its trademark on the names:

2. Ask your members of Congress to introduce a bill to prohibit Delaware North from getting any more federal contracts unless it releases copyright claims to all names within National Parks and other public lands.(Delaware owns concessions in other famous places and has been abusive toward workers at the Grand Canyon, too: http://azdailysun.com/news/local/contracts-upend-life-at-grand-canyon/article_1b376e1d-4c1a-51d2-b573-33291aff5168.html)

3. Look up other places Delaware North owns here: http://www.delawarenorth.com/venues (Can anyone figure out how to paste the list here, at least those venues in the U.S.? )

4. Notify Delaware and their venues in your area that you will be boycotting them and why.

5. Many of these venues are major sports stadium, airports, resorts, etc. Notify the city, county, team or other owners/major partners of these facilities and ask them to pressure Delaware North to give back Yosemite’s names to the National Park Service, or cancel their future business.

6. San Diego, as an example, has Delaware North doing concessions at both Qualcomm Stadium and Petco Park, where the Chargers and Padres play. Ask the City of San Diego and both teams to express their revulsion and urge Delaware North to do the right thing, or cancel their contracts at the first opportunity. (Note, we in San Diego are well aware of Delaware North, run by a friend of ex-Governor Schwarzenegger who gave them concessions to Old Town State Park and kicked out a much better long-time vendor, to the detriment of the park’s character and heritage.)
