I was hoping I could mothball my old political cartoon site. Looks like I may have to start cartooning again, instead.

Remember how they stole 2004? If you don't, these strips will remind you. It's likely that the same folks--Big Oil--were involved. Even though the Bush family has publicly disavowed Trump, their methods were used. Study what they did in 2004. Maybe it will help in 2016.

Here's a few highlights.

Challenge the Selection!

Is this the purpose of the Green Party (now that the Libertarian Party is being used to siphon votes from the Dem)? Jill Stein is raising money for a recount in the states that were stolen--stolen based upon exit poll/tabulated vote discrepancies that occurred only in e-voting districts. Recall that a famous statistician hypothesized in 2004 that some voters were reluctant to tell exit pollsters that they voted for W. for fear that the pollsters were mock them. They were only afraid to do this in precincts that did not have paper ballots. Presumably, paper ballots instill a sense of honesty in voters that makes them overcome their fear of being mocked by exit pollsters---the so called "reluctant responder theory" is now being trotted out to explain the latest vote. It is complete and utter bullshit of course. Americans are proud of being dumb and voting with their hearts and not their minds. They will deliberately tell pollsters that the sun revolves around the earth even though they know better just to mess with them.

If the votes from the areas with the exit poll/tabulated vote discrepancies were corrected, Hillary would win. This was a surgical precision hack, designed to do the least damage while achieving the desired result. However, the hackers miscalculated. If it looks too precise, it does not look random. They should have launched massive hacks, made numbers look crazy in lots of places.

I suggest getting some computer people in there. Even if the hackers think they deleted the hack after election day, there will still be traces. Unless they inserted a hack to make the whole thing crash if anyone attempts to inspect it. But I am pretty sure that the right people could get around that, too. Everything leaves a footprint in software.

Oh, and Obama, while you are still in charge of the NSA, I suggest that you use your power to monitor any transmissions made by foreign nationals--i.e. folks in Russia and Eastern Europe. Read all the emails. Listen to all the phone calls. Those folks have no Constitutional protections and I am willing to bet that someone somewhere spilled the beans to someone else, if only to advise them to place a bet on Trump because the fix was in. Once you have the Russian conspirators, then you have the US conspirators. Go after an underling. Give that person immunity to talk. Do it fast. The window of opportunity will close soon.

Civil Rights Movement 2.0

Once upon a time, not so long ago, Black folks---and Latinos and Natives and Asians were stuck. In the game of life, they could never pass Go and never collect $200, because they could not vote. When the nation tried to give them the vote, in the aftermath of the Civil War, enterprising whites came up with ways to keep them from casting their vote or to keep their vote from counting if it was cast. Poll taxes, literacy tests, intimidation---these were the tools white men used to maintain their white privilege.

In World War II, U.S. Blacks were asked to die for their country, to defend the right of other people to participate in a democratic form of government. But when they came home, their country still denied them the vote. They were voiceless in the arena of politics. And so, they opened a new dialogue, in the streets, in the nation's newspapers, on the evening news. They stood their ground when police turned fire hoses on them. The endured attacks by police dogs. They were attacked, beaten, killed---

And the human face of their suffering awakened a sense of recognition among people far away, who had never (in their own lifetimes) been subject to such oppression but who could well imagine what it would feel like. And once people all across the country and world developed a sense of solidarity with the oppressed, once their voices were heard, then they got the vote.

We've lost our vote again. The same folks whose great grandparents trampled on the 15th Amendment to the Constitution are now spitting on the Voting Rights Act. Three of the last five presidential elections in this country have been stolen. If this continues, we will back in the days of Jim Crow faster than you can say "Make America Great Again."

Do not count upon anyone in the government to protect our vote. Elected politicians have themselves to think of. They have careers in office and after they retire. A few of them---say, a handful who represent safe minority districts---will speak out. But by themselves they will not be able to set the wheels of government back on the right path. No one in the Department of Justice is going to intervene. They have careers to think about. Almost anyone in a position of power to actually do something about this voting crisis has too much to lose---

Meaning that we, who have been stripped of almost everything by the greed of the Banksters are the only ones who can save ourselves. It's time to take to the streets again. Time to stage national strikes. Time for some creative street theater. Keep it peaceful, but keep it real. Do not let up the pressure. Do not take your eye off the prize. Ignore the terrorist distractions they will wave in our faces. Refuse to be divided and conquered along lines of race, age, gender, sexuality, religion. Be the Contrary that will allow our nation to Progress. Do it for our white brothers and sisters who have been duped. Do it for ourselves and for our children.

The holiday season is coming up. Consider a road trip to DC. Take the whole family. Occupy our capitol city the way we occupied Wall Street. If the news does not want to cover it, make them cover it----get creative. Get on YouTube. Get political.

Trump Will Fail Because...

No one dumps a valuable political ally, simply because the ally prosecuted his son-in-law's father. Politicians must be expedient. Trump is impatient. And vindictive. And ruled by his emotions of the moment. He is piling up political enemies faster than Scarface piled up cocaine. And the last thing any newbie politician wants is lots of lots of political enemies standing in line waiting to tell their side of the story to the press.

If there is an opposite of Reagan's political Teflon, Trump has it. Oh, I know! He has fly paper. When the you know what hits the fan, it is gonna stick to him.

James Comey: The Latest (Not So Special) Pornographer In Chief Peddles S-E-X.

Ok, so this contradicts my last post. So sue me. The world is a very weird and complicated place.

OMG! The latest "Did you know Hillary Clinton uses e-mail? What kind of inhuman beast uses e-mail?" story is getting weirder by the moment. The emails in question are not even HRC emails. They are emails of the spouse of an aid. That means the scandal is now "Did you know that Clinton has an aid whose estranged husband uses e-mails?" Oh, the horror!

Why is the press salivating all over this story? Because Clinton's aid is estranged from her hubby because he is a sex addict. Did you catch that? The three most important letters in entertainment and news. S-E-X. In case you missed it, I will repeat that in big, bold letters.

S.E.X. (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

And there is a possibility that somewhere in those e-mails, there may be some reference to S-E-X. And the press will now be able to publish every S-E-X-y word on the front page by claiming that they are relevant to the presidential election.

Other weirdness---Comey has never actually read the e-mails. And, before he made his announcement about finding emails (he had never read that were not actually written by Clinton even though he characterized them as more Clinton emails) he notified Republican members of Congress so that they could get to work promoting this story.

So, whatever you do, do NOT sign the petition below asking for a Hatch Act violation investigation of Comey. Because if you do that, you will be telling the world that you are a stuck up prude who does not like S-E-X.

James Comey, the Last Witch Hunter

Why, Comey? Why?

Why would an FBI director do what Comey did? Why trash what is left of his reputation in one huge, illegal, unethical, immoral political meltdown? Did he really think he could change the outcome of the presidential election this close to election day? Or, was the Republican controlled Congress feeling the heat from its corporate donors? "What do you mean you may lose control of Congress? No more Citizens United money for you, suckers!"

And so, did Republicans in Congress got their money simple little heads together and say "We've got to find a way to get out the base! But what can we promise them that will overcome their fear and loathing of Trump? Wait! We know! Endless Clinton investigations. Clinton hearings 24-7! The base loves those! And the press is up our you know whats since the Trumpster threatened to break up media empires. Gotta give the press something to chew on or they are gonna chew on Trump's bad hair and pussy grabbing tiny hands until there is nothing left. What does the press love? Clinton hearings! 24-7! Preferably with sex thrown in! Ok, who can get this ball rolling for us? Who, in our party still has any standing left after the last eight years?"

Comey is not throwing mud on the Clinton campaign. Comey is attempting to throw fresh kindling on the bonfire that is the GOP Clinton Witch Hunt. He is appealing to those Americans who view Clinton Investigations as the modern equivalent of Roman Gladiator battles. He does not want you to vote for Trump. He wants you to vote for the Witch Hunt. Because who needs a Legislative body that legislates when we can have a legislative body that persecutes?

Why the GOP Will Stage a Coup Against Trump at the Convention

Trump can't win. When he called a born in the US judge with a Latino sounding name a "Mexican" he made sure that he could not win. There is no math in the world that comes up with anything but a Trump loss. He is mobilizing Hispanics to register to vote--against him. Clinton probably will not even have to select a Latino running mate now. Now she can pick Elizabeth Warren and make the liberal base happy while not entirely pissing off conservatives because once upon a time, Warren was a member of the GOP.

Before he inserted his foot into his mouth, there were a fair number of conservatives born in the US of Hispanic origin who might have considered Trump. Or, at least, considered staying home. But not any more. He made it personal. So personal that his name at the top of the ticket could cost the GOP Texas, Florida, Arizona---

Remember what Obama did to Black voter turn out? Trump is doing it with Latinos. If he went into this hoping to rake in lots of Citizens United dollars, he might as well give up, because Big Business knows that if it backs Trump, Clinton will put two more liberals on the SCOTUS--and then the Federalists' dream will go up in smoke. A loser can not pay back his campaign donors---and Trump has loser written all over him.

So, all the Republicans who are endorsing Clinton---don't let them fool you. Right now, they are sitting in a smoke filled room writing the script for the coup. Who will ride in on a white horse to save the GOP? I guessing they will draft Chuck Hagel. That would make two former Obama administration officials running against each other for their former boss' job. And the general election could be close and fierce. Hagel is no conservative GOP dream candidate. But his SCOTUS nominees will be business friendly---and that is what business wants.

Number One Priority for General Election: Please Save the Children (From Being Born Premature)

Tomorrow we go into General Election mode. I would like to get a head start on something that has a tremendous social and economic impact on this country---prematurity. Many of the nation's communities have an excessive number of babies being born premature. These infants face a lifetime of challenges. And, they put a strain on our public health care system. The March of Dimes estimated (in 2007) that health care costs in this country for premature infants were over 16 billion dollars a year. Given medical inflation, is is probably much higher now. And prematurity and low birth weight are the biggest factors in infant mortality.

There are many causes of prematurity. Some, like maternal disease are difficult to correct. Thanks to advances in fertility treatment, many women who might not have been able to conceive in the past are now getting pregnant--and having medically complicated pregnancies.

However, some of the causes of premature labor, low birth weight infants and high infant mortality and morbidity could be corrected if we would only change our priorities a teeny-weeny bit.

Tarrant County, Texas, aka Fort Worth has an unusually high infant mortality rate. All urban areas on Texas have high infant mortality, but Tarrant County makes Bexar, Dallas, Harris look good. Why?

One cause is the high level of PCBs in area waterways from a military dump in Lake Worth. The PCBS end up in fish which locals still continue to consume despite "catch and release" warnings are area lakes. Here is a link to a DU Journal I wrote in 2010:

Which begs the question: Why the hell are you so hung up on the topic of water pollution and infant mortality, McCamy? Answer: because my own completely uncomplicated pregnancy ended up with a premature delivery that my doctor could not explain. And because the problem in Tarrant County is not getting any better. Oops. Sorry. For some reason there is no online link to the very excellent article written by TCU journalism students about Tarrant County's ongoing infant mortality problem. If you can snag a hard copy of the newspaper, I encourage you to do so. If you can find a link for me, please post it. I would not put it past the city and its leaders to attempt to minimize online coverage of one of the city's dark secrets---that for decades we have had increased infant mortality and that nothing we have done so far seems to help. And that no one in city government has the cojones to do the two things which might actually make a difference, namely 1) make someone clean up Lake Worth where a military dump is leaching PCBs into our waterways and 2) inform the public about the reason for the "catch and release" notices posted all around area streams and lakes. But hey, no one in Fort Worth wants to piss off the Pentagon which provides lots of area jobs. And no one in Fort Worth wants to discourage recreational fishing. On the contrary, they want to encourage it, since tourism money is good money--

Anyway, if some one has Hillary Clinton's ear, can you please ask her to turn the spotlight on to a topic that is massively important to a lot of families. Infant mortality can be reduced. But only if we change priorities and make the needs of children--and their parents-- a priority.

(Worse Than Usual) Bad Year to Be a Republican: Zika and Abortion

The GOP is really fired up about two issues this election year. One is immigration. Fear of the stranger in our midst. Fascism 101. A no brainer for their base (with no brains.) The other is...

Restrooms? Public potties are the number two menace facing our country? What happened to abortion? You know, saving the life of a 16 cell morula (see below):



Zika is what happened. The same women who believe that unwed mothers should be forced to bear the fruit of their sinful fornication absolutely do not want to be forced to give birth to a baby with serious birth defects because of a Spring Break vacation in the Caribbean. Because if God did not want fertile women to vacation at beach resorts He would not have given them bikini wax and frequent flyer miles.

Those of you who are as old as me (as in "as the hills&quot will remember the real reason why the public pushed for legalized abortion. Not grisly photos of women dead in a pool of their own blood from back alley procedures. No, it was another virus, Rubella, aka Germain Measles that turned the tide.

So, until they come up with a Zika Virus vaccine, expect to hear less than usual from the GOP about ending all abortions for all women for all time in this country. And more from the Democrats about preserving a woman's right to choose.
