In GOP plan, you can't sue your employers for giving you COVID -- but they can sue you

Please Dems, don't cave on this piece!!!

If you were looking for evidence that Republicans in Congress have no sympathy for workers facing illness or worse from the COVID-19 pandemic, look past the partyís proposal to cut unemployment benefits.

Instead, focus on the provision in its coronavirus relief bill that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) calls a must-have in any bill that passes: liability protection for employers whose employees get sick at work.

This proposal has received scant attention in coverage of the GOP plan. But itís more vicious than you could possibly imagine.
The GOP proposal would erect almost insurmountable obstacles to lawsuits by workers who become infected with the coronavirus at their workplaces.

It would absolve employers of responsibility for taking any but the most minimal steps to make their workplaces safe. It would preempt tough state workplace safety laws (not that there are very many of them).

Why would a narcissist take a controversial drug?

Gotta be more than $$.

You have the power to protect yourself without risk.

Is it just to save face? Taking something to the nth degree, just to show you weren't crazy to push it at the outset?

Who are your top 3 choices for VP and why?

What do they bring to table over and above the others?

1. Tammy Duckworth.

Given our horrible times, our nation can look up to a decorated war hero right now! Can see her creating genuine admiration and excitement.

2. Elizabeth Warren.

A brilliant and highly energetic person who can organize the massive efforts to dig us out of this mess. Plus, she has an inate ability to explain things to public on simple terms.

3. Susan Rice

Another brilliant person. Who better in COVID times than the person who briefed trump team during transition on pandemic? (BTW, she briefed Michael Flynn who was only there a couple weeks)
