Howie Carr says BLOTUS was "cool, calm and collected" the night of attack

It was about 9 o’clock, a warm idyllic evening in south Florida. I was leaving after dinner (seafood risotto) when the president noticed me and casually called me over and introduced me to McCarthy.

“Howie knows a lot about Elizabeth Warren,” he said, and then we started talking about her decline in the polls. I mentioned the rise of Bernie Sanders.

“Can he win New Hampshire?” the president asked. "I think he’s ahead now,” I said. The president looked thoughtful. He glanced from me to McCarthy.

“Who’d be better to run against?” he asked. “Bernie or Biden?” "Bernie!” we both answered.

Ex-Fox News Reporter Courtney Friel Says Donald Trump Asked Her Over 'To Kiss'

Former Fox News reporter Courtney Friel says that Donald Trump propositioned her before he was elected president while both were married, and that the come-on compromised her reporting on his presidential campaign.

Friel wrote in her new memoir “Tonight At 10: Kicking Booze and Breaking News” that Trump called her “the hottest one at Fox News,” according to the New York Daily News, which reported it viewed an excerpt.

Trump, in a phone call, complimented Friel’s work and asked about career goals before getting more personal, she wrote. “Out of nowhere, he said: ‘You should come up to my office sometime, so we can kiss.’”

Good article on what it's like for a coach to be fired

What it’s like to be fired as an NFL coach

He had planned to sleep at his palatial office. Shut his eyes in darkness. Open them to light. He’d peer out his window. Survey a well-manicured lawn. Then get to work. Because he loved his job. He really did.

He was a 38-year-old Midwestern transplant, who after three nomadic decades had found a home out west. Work had initially lured him to Los Angeles. Life had attached him. He’d graduated from early adulthood here. Learned a ton. Married. Had kids. He’d traveled north for a payday, then bolted east for a “great job,” then returned for his “dream job.” And in September 2013, even as he struggled, he couldn’t imagine leaving it.

Until, on a return flight after a business trip, he got the note. His boss wanted to meet. Not tomorrow. Tonight. And not in his office, not even at company headquarters, but in a private room at Los Angeles International Airport.

From Wikipedia

Three United States Presidents have been impeached: Andrew Johnson in 1868, Bill Clinton in 1998 and Donald Trump in 2019.[30][31] Neither Johnson nor Clinton were convicted by the Senate, while Trump still awaits a Senate trial. Additionally, there were efforts to impeach John Tyler and Richard Nixon (Nixon resigned before proceedings began).[32]

Thought I'd post this since a Trumper told me over Christmas he's only "half impeached"

Any Ken Follett fans?

Have read them all and wait for a new one. It takes him a long time because he puts out well researched masterpieces in my mind.

So I periodically look. He's got a new one. But have to wait til September 15 2020 for release

Prequel to Pillars of Earth

From #1 New York Times bestselling author Ken Follett, a thrilling and addictive new novel--a prequel to The Pillars of the Earth--set in England at the dawn of a new era: The Middle Ages
It is 997 CE, the end of the Dark Ages. England is facing attacks from the Welsh in the west and the Vikings in the east. Those in power bend justice according to their will, regardless of ordinary people and often in conflict with the king. Without a clear rule of law, chaos reigns.

In these turbulent times, three characters find their lives intertwined: A young boatbuilder's life is turned upside down when the only home he's ever known is raided by Vikings, forcing him and his family to move and start their lives anew in a small hamlet where he does not fit in. . . . A Norman noblewoman marries for love, following her husband across the sea to a new land. But the customs of her husband's homeland are shockingly different, and as she begins to realize that everyone around her is engaged in a constant, brutal battle for power, it becomes clear that a single misstep could be catastrophic. . . . A monk dreams of transforming his humble abbey into a center of learning that will be admired throughout Europe. And each in turn comes into dangerous conflict with a clever and ruthless bishop who will do anything to increase his wealth and power.

Thirty years ago, Ken Follett published his most popular novel, The Pillars of the Earth. Now, Follett's masterful new prequel The Evening and the Morning takes us on an epic journey into a historical past rich with ambition and rivalry, death and birth, love and hate, that will end where The Pillars of the Earth begins.

Two VERY persuasive things I haven't heard mentioned. Perhaps I missed

1. Trump sent his attorney over there to dig up dirt on Bidens. Admittedly, on record.

2. Trump DID NOT care about an investigation - just the announcement - which is crystal clear evidence it was ALL for personal political gain.
