Synergy in cooking

I was thinking that in cooking, maybe incorporating as much synergy as possible could make some fabulous cooking.

Two or more things together where the sum is greater than the parts. It came to mind believe it or not when I recently had the probably long forgotten Liptons dry onion soup mixed with sour cream for a dip. The combo of those two things makes a delicious sum.

Others ?

Mashed potatoes and gravy
Fresh tomatoes, basil, olive oil and salt
Fish and chicken with lemon and butter

Hot brown sugared bacon with cayenne
Roast pork with brown mustard

Question about legal/hearing strategy...

I would venture a guess that the witnesses today had maybe 2-3 hrs? of valuable testimony.

Why do we keep people so long? Why would you do that, as a trial/hearing strategy?

Strikes me that it frees up time for opposition to riff. Why wouldn't you say, these witnesses have a finite involvement? And zero in on exactly what they can offer that is pertinent? In my mind too, if you don't do that you run the risk of voters tuning out and the key points they offer being lost?

Not dissing anyone just don't get it. Not looking for "it was great" comments but legal strategy perspectives

Are you a raging psychotic Democrat? Trump tweets

Trump's tweet, tonight 10:45p. I "think" he is quoting Hannity?
https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/1194458296146702336?s=20

“The circus is coming to town. The corrupt, compromised, coward & congenital liar Adam Schiff Show on Capital Hill, brought to you by his raging psychotic Democrats & the top allies in the Media Mob. Everything you’re going to see in the next two weeks is rigged....

This is a phony showtrial. There is zero due process, none. It is yet another fraudulent hoax conspiracy theory. It is another Witch Hunt. This is what the Socialist Doemocrat Party has become. There’s not one thing the Democrats have done in the past 3 years except try...

to hurt Donald Trump and we, the people that support him. The Left has never accepted the results of the 2016 Election. They never saw this coming. This is not just about President Trump. They hate everyone he is representing.”

NBC: Bolton spot on in private speech

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/private-speech-bolton-suggests-some-trump-s-foreign-policy-decisions-n1080651

Nov. 12, 2019, 12:15 PM EST / Updated Nov. 12, 2019, 12:54 PM EST
By Stephanie Ruhle and Carol E. Lee
Former national security adviser John Bolton derided President Donald Trump’s daughter and son-in-law during a private speech last week and suggested his former boss’ approach to U.S. policy on Turkey is motivated by personal or financial interests, several people who were present for the remarks told NBC News.

According to six people who were there, Bolton also questioned the merits of Trump applying his business acumen to foreign policy, saying such issues can’t be approached like the win-or-lose edict that drives real estate deals: When one deal doesn’t work, you move on to the next.

Dingbat tweets 82 times yesterday

https://www.axios.com/donald-trump-twitter-tweets-impeachment-inquiry-70f705e6-17ba-4adb-9975-ff1c11ea2d5f.html

President Trump tweeted or retweeted 82 times on Saturday while flying to and from a collegiate football game in Alabama.

Why it matters: Many of the president's tweets were fighting back against the House's impeachment inquiry into allegations that he withheld congressionally approved military aid to pressure Ukraine to investigate his political opponents. The House will hold its first public impeachment hearings this week.

Trump's tweets, by the numbers: Trump tweeted or retweeted "Schiff" 11 times in reference to House Intelligence Chairman Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.). He referenced Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) twice.

He mentioned "impeachment," "impeach" or "impeachable" nine times, "Democrats" five times, and "whistleblower" 11 times.
Trump also posted an endorsement for "Triggered," a new book written by his eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., and praised Rich Lowry, the editor of National Review, for "Bringing the word 'Nationalism' back into the mainstream."
