Did you catch the Bill Maher and Fran Lebowitz interview tonight?

Perfect example of what we encounter every day. She, her brain, could only comprehend the now. He, wanted to talk about the hypothetical world. Neither bad, just different brains.

I'm with Bill Maher on this one. JHC. Where are all the happy uplifting movies?

Many of us are drowning in sorrow. Rented Nomadland and had to walk away. With covid death and all the killings of loved ones and the residual filth that the former guy left us, my compassion meter is at 99%

Covid death of a close family member?

It's been almost a year since we called an ambulance because my dad fell. The hospital sent him to rehab and he died 14 days later from covid contracted from an infected man laying next to him. I am still having intense feelings of hate, grief, and guilt.

Hate of trump for purposely not warning and the state and rehab facility for not protecting him.

Grief of a loved one who did not deserve to die that way. Sorrow for my mom who didn't get to hold her husband's hand in death. They were married 71 years.

Guilt for agreeing to sending him there. I live a thousand miles away and I usually let my sisters who live close by make decisions. But when they told me I looked it up and saw that there were covid cases in nursing homes. I didn't say anything.

I wonder if anyone else is going through the same thing? It's such a toxic combination of emotion that doesn't seem to fit any bereavement advice I have seen.

We are acting like peasants, so thankful for a crumb.. the vaccine!

Yes, thank you drug companies who had been working on virus vaccines for many years, long before there was a fake president. They care about preserving human life and making $.

BUT, let us never forget TRUMP KNEW the fact that the virus was airborne and deadly. ( Woodward tape). Hundreds of thousands unwarned died.

As Earl posted his great calendar, the former guy played golf or held hate rallies for much of this time!

He mocked the mask wearers as sissies. Thus spreading it further. More dead.

He will never be held accountable or responsible.

Except in fate's eye.

Who is Joel Greenberg? (A refresher)

Who is Joel Greenberg? Former tax collector tied to U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz steeped in controversy before criminal charges

Former Seminole County Tax Collector Joel Greenberg — who resigned on June 24, the day after he was arrested at his home by federal agents — currently faces 14 federal charges, including allegations that he stalked a political opponent, illegally used a state database to create fake IDs and sex-trafficked a minor.

On Tuesday, it was revealed the probe had further extended to include conservative self-described “firebrand” U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz who, according to the New York Times, is being investigated for an alleged sexual relationship with a 17-year-old girl.

Greenberg, 36, rose to prominence in Central Florida politics in 2016 when he upset Ray Valdes, who was Seminole County’s tax collector for nearly three decades.

Much of his tenure was embroiled in controversy: Months after taking office, he began allowing employees to carry guns, and then in December 2017, while wearing a tax collector badge that looked like a law enforcement shield, he pulled over and confronted a driver for speeding. Officials with the Seminole State Attorney’s Office declined to press charges.
