Highly recommend Call the Midwife season 2 episode 2.5 on Netflix

IMDb: Call the Midwife: Episode #2.5

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2506248/

A poor mother of 8 in 1950s London gets pregnant for the ninth time. Emotionally charged but calmly discussed by practical and caring people in charge.

Highly recommend watching in this time post Roe V Wade. WE NEED LEGISLATION PROTECTING OUR BODIES AND OUR FREEDOM. AND CONSIDER THE MOTHERLESS CHILDREN.

Why can't the War Powers include manufacturing affordable electric cars?

Russia is gaining in Ukraine, and we don't want a hot war with Putin. But why can't war powers help dissuade us from war? We manufactured tons of military equipment in times of war. Let's push an act to force car companies to help us avoid the fallout from Putin's aggression. Why should he and the fossil fuel industry benefit? It's never our turn.

Biden could and should do something to force the production of affordable alternatives to those gouging us for monetary and political gain.

Every time we point out an argument for the truth, we miss the point of the lie.

Gingrich & Ingraham:
"The idea that this was a coup or coup attempt or an insurrection, very briefly why is that spurious claim on its face?" she asked.

Gingrich, red-faced said. "It's not."

This happens 24/7. It has to, because the point is to get the lie/message to their base.

Lying on the right has never been more prevalent or blatant.

Navarro's press conference will likely result in more gun violence.

His rhetoric is poisonous to our government. That is what MAGA truly is - poison. Those in a position of influence choose to stoke revolution. I think with this creep it's because he knows he's guilty, knows TFG is guilty, and opts to destroy the peace and trash our government. Once they succeed, we will be a full blown Banana Republic. And that appears to be the goal of the Tea Party as well.

Guns are for imposing their narrow agenda on us. And they have the nerve to call the rest of us Extremists.

Zoom question...

Anybody staying abreast of the changes on the Zoom app? I can no longer get to the camera from settings. The icons are gone. It was such a streamlined and easy to use tool. But like most things on the internet, they screw with it til you pull all your hair out.

Anybody know with the new version - still basic - if you can get to the camera setting?

Just read QE2 to miss her own Jubilee.

I wanted to share that I went, by myself, to the Queen's Trooping of the Color when she road by on horseback. I was close enough to note her red cheek complexion. Possibly displaying what is referred to "an English Rose". This was 1973. How time flies!

She looked like this...
