BTW can we just give these people cyanide tablets? The handling of the C-19 Pandemic
and the vaccine production and its use should be a science, public health, and medical
issue not a political issue. It is like "they" somehow see people still getting sick, dying,

Alcohol, guns, and sex what could go wrong? And the young lady with the braces and a pistol?

I have hunted and owned guns for years and this is just so wrong. If you own a gun and that gun is fired in anger
the odds are overwhelming that it will be used on you or somebody you know and the odds that you will be stopping
"the bad guy" are minuscule. So if you have to carry a firearm @ work and not unless you are in the military,
law enforcement, security, or wilderness guiding then go and get another job.

What good people do. Alaina Schearer got crushed in her run for Congress in 2020.

It is a very gerrymandered district in central OH that along w/some other factors caused her defeat. And so this
is what she is helping to do and that is feeding people who need some help. She is good people and it looks like
she wants to run again in 2022.

Early life and education

Walensky was born Rochelle Paula Bersoff, to Edward Bersoff, and Carol Bersoff-Bernstein[3] She was raised in Maryland.[4]

In 1991, Walensky received a BA in biochemistry and molecular biology from Washington University in St. Louis. In 1995, she received an MD from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. From 1995 to 1998, she trained in internal medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Walensky then became a fellow in the Massachusetts General Hospital/Brigham and Women's Hospital Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program. In 2001, she earned an MPH in clinical effectiveness from the Harvard School of Public Health.[5]
Academic career

Walensky had been on the faculty of Harvard Medical School since 2001, first as an instructor, then as a professor.[6] Walensky served as chief of the division of infectious diseases at Massachusetts General Hospital from 2017-2020 and professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School from 2012-2020. She served on the frontline of the COVID-19 pandemic and conducted research on vaccine delivery and strategies to reach underserved communities. Walensky has worked to improve HIV screening and care in South Africa, led health policy initiatives, and researched clinical trial design and evaluation in a variety of settings.[7]

Walensky was Chair of the Office of AIDS Research Advisory Council at the National Institutes of Health from 2014 to 2015 and has served as a member of the US Department of Health and Human Services Panel on Antiretroviral Guidelines for Adults and Adolescents since 2011.[8] She serves on the board of directors of Mass General Brigham.[9] She has been co-director of the Medical Practice Evaluation Center at Massachusetts General Hospital since 2011.[8]
COVID-19

In a paper published in Health Affairs in November 2020, Walensky and her co-authors showed that the effectiveness of a COVID-19 vaccine will be strongly affected by:

The speed that the vaccine is produced and administered. Some of the potential vaccines have logistical challenges including the need for ultra-cold storage, or requiring two doses.
The willingness of people to be vaccinated.
The pandemic's severity when the vaccine is introduced.[10]

CDC Director
The Biden transition announced Walensky's presumptive appointment as CDC director on December 7, 2020.[11] Doctors and public health experts widely praised the choice.[12] As the position of director of the CDC does not require Senate confirmation to take office,[13] Walensky's tenure at the CDC began on January 20, 2021.

Sometime after 7 Joe was talking about the American Rescue Plan and just had to get a republican
talking point/dig against President Obama because he said this, "The Affordable Care Act was so bad
that it created the Tea Party movement." No the Tea Party movement was no organic grass roots
movement but was built starting in 2007 by a republican who had been working for republicans
such as Ronald Reagan when he was running for President in 1980. The Tea Party was started before
Barack Obama won the presidency because it was clear that bush/Cheney and their Iraqi war, failed
response to Katrina, and that we were looking @ another Great Depression because of republican
economic policies made the chances of a Republican winning in 2008 slim. The Tea Party Movement
was a phony grass roots movement funded by the Koch Brothers/American for Prosperity although once
it was publicly launched in 2009 it however took advantage of the deep set racism of many Americans
and how much they were pissed off that a black man was President and later on Fox News/hate talk radio
used these racist people's feelings about a black man being President to channel their anger against the A.C.A..
