left the state with >$25 billion deficit but a liberal Democratic Governor, Jerry Brown along
with Democratic law makers now have the state with a $9 billion surplus.
California's new Democratic Governor, Gavin Newsom and current democratic law makers are
continuing along the same path and currently California has the 5th or 6th biggest economy
in the world.
This is what a good American looks like.

For the second time in as many days, Donald Trump called the investigation led by special counsel Robert Mueller “treason” and indicated that he wants those involved charged with a crime. This follows an earlier tweet from Trump saying, “I think what the Democrats are doing with the Border is TREASONOUS.” The Atlantic suggests that Trump’s claims of treason are exactly how the Founding Fathers feared such accusations could be made, and precisely why the wording regarding what constitutes treason is so precise.
According to a White House pool report, Trump also said that he “absolutely” believes there was spying on his 2016 campaign and that the claim of spying by attorney general was “accurate.”

Numerous sources have noted that Trump has seemed “increasingly erratic” over the last two weeks as he conducted a purge of the Department of Homeland Security, threatened to close the southern border, and flip-flopped over how Republicans should handle health care going into 2020.

In the case of the Trump Organization, the hiring of some immigrant labor may be about to change: Facing growing questions about its employment of undocumented workers, the company has quietly begun to take steps to eliminate any remaining undocumented workers from its labor pool in South Florida.
In March, seven veteran maintenance workers at Trump National Jupiter, the golf club 18 miles north of Mar-a-Lago that Mr. Trump purchased in 2012, were informed that the work force was being reorganized. Workers had until March 22 to provide proof that they were legally eligible to work in the United States, they were told.

Former federal prosecutor Lori Lightfoot was elected Chicago mayor on Tuesday, becoming the first black woman and first openly gay person to lead the nation's third-largest city.
Lightfoot defeated Toni Preckwinkle, who served in the City Council for 19 years before becoming Cook County Board president.
Chicago will become the largest US city to elect a black woman as mayor when Lightfoot is sworn in May 20. She will join seven other black women currently serving as mayors in major US cities, including Atlanta and New Orleans.
Lightfoot said that as mayor, she would focus on investing in neighborhoods on the West and South Sides and bring transparency and accountability to City Hall.
