Donald Trump’s Debt to China A 211 million dollar note is coming due in 2022.
In 2012, the Bank of China, a commercial bank owned by the Chinese state, provided more than two hundred million dollars in loans to a New York office building that Trump co-owns, Politico reported on Friday. The loans will come due in 2022, “in the middle of what could be Trump’s second term,” the timely article noted.
The building in question is 1290 Avenue of the Americas, which is located between West Fifty-first and West Fifty-second Streets. The majority owner of the building is Vornado Realty Trust, a big real-estate company that is run by the veteran developer Steven Roth. In 2007, the Trump Organization acquired a thirty-per-cent stake in the Sixth Avenue building and also in separate Vornado development, in San Francisco. By all appearances, the Vornado stake has been one of Trump’s most successful investments, and the Bank of China played a significant role in its success. “The debt stems from a $950 million refinancing deal in 2012, to which the Bank of China chipped in $211 million,” the Politico article said. “Vornado’s federal financial disclosures show it and the other owner of 1290 Avenue of the Americas—Trump—are still indebted from the 2012 deal.”

Whether Trump’s businesses received more loans from state-owned Chinese banks—or other investors with ties to foreign governments—is unknown because Trump refuses to release his complete tax returns and other financial records. The “financial disclosure law did not require him to disclose any business loans he had not personally guaranteed,” Walter Shaub, a former head of the Office of Government Ethics, which establishes standards for the executive branch, wrote on Twitter on Friday. “So, who knows who else he owes money? I’ll tell you who: The lenders who have him in their grip.”
We do know that Trump-family companies have done business with Chinese entities on other occasions, too. In 2017, a Trump-branded golf resort in Dubai hired two Chinese firms to do construction, McClatchy reported. And, since Trump has been in the White House, the Chinese government has issued numerous trademarks to Ivanka Trump’s businesses.

Pence to Rush Limbaugh: Coronavirus outbreak may be ‘behind us’ by June
Vice President Mike Pence, the head of the government’s coronavirus task force, believes the US coronavirus pandemic may be largely “behind us” by early June if cases continue falling.
In an interview with conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh on Thursday, Pence was optimistic that a large number of Americans may have been exposed to COVID-19, leading to a “degree of immunity.”
“I truly do believe if current trend lines hold, that by early June, we could largely have this coronavirus epidemic behind us, and begin to see our nation open back up and go back to work,” Pence said.
“There is a high likelihood that if you’ve had this coronavirus in the past, that you will enjoy some immunity from it in the future,” the veep added.

Donald Reed Herring, the oldest brother of Senator Elizabeth Warren, died on Tuesday night in Norman, Okla., about three weeks after testing positive for coronavirus.
Herring, a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force, was 86.
Warren, who has been a vocal critic of the Trump administration’s halting response to the pandemic for months, has not previously revealed that her family was waging its own personal battle against the virus. She confirmed his death in a statement provided to the Globe and said the cause was coronavirus.
“I’m grateful to the nurses and other front-line staff who took care of my brother, but it is hard to know that there was no family to hold his hand or to say “I love you” one more time. And now there’s no funeral for those of us who loved him to hold each other close,” Warren said. “I will miss my brother.”

Daughter, 5, of Detroit first responders dies after coronavirus diagnosis
DETROIT — The 5-year-old daughter of two Detroit first responders has died of complications from coronavirus.
Skylar Herbert died Sunday at Beaumont Royal Oak Hospital after being on a ventilator for two weeks, CNN affiliate WXYZ reported. She tested positive for coronavirus last month and developed a rare form of meningitis and swelling on the brain, according to WXYZ.
"The loss of a child, at any time, under any circumstances, is a tragedy," Beaumont Hospital said in a statement obtained by WXYZ. "We are heartbroken that COVID-19 has taken the life of a child. We extend our deepest sympathy to Skylar's family and all others who have lost a loved one to this virus."
Skylar's mother has been a Detroit Police officer for 25 years, and her father has worked as a firefighter with the Detroit Fire Department for 18 years, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer said during a Monday news conference.

If the big meat processing plants get shut down do we have the capacity to use local farmers,
local meat processing plants and butchers to take their place? I know that most big chain stores
no longer have in house butchers but can we just bypass the big plants?

rise of Hitler* in Germany 1930s. Trump is on the ropes because he was part of the biggest fuck
up of all times w/the outbreak of C-19 and he wants those dumb ass "freedom fighters" out there
raising hell. Hence the red meat Trump throws out to them with his "they want to take away your 2nd
amendment freedoms."
And in the end if the wind up sick and/or dead from C-19 or get shot by law enforcement because they
like to flash their AR-15s as they protest their "oppressors" aka Governors, Mayors, & State Health
